  • No ep??? Zoom on the camera or something?

  • I am thinking of spending $850 for one of these bastards. Is it really worth that amount??? I DO enjoy gazing, and never owned a scope worth more than $100... with income tax comming up I would really like to go ahead and get a good one.... thnx in advance for any info... dRU.....

oh yeah, what mm eyepeices come with it, X value?? And how clear are planets and galaxies and stuff??? thnx, dRU.....

  • The ETX is a great scope for beginners in astronomy. I own one myself and I am very happy with it. The scope comes with a 26 mm Plossl eyepiece by default.

As for viewing planets, you will see planets such as the rings on Saturn and the polar icecaps on Mars if it's the right time of the year. Galaxies are alittle different since they are "deep space objects". The ETX can see them, just not up close like with a RCX or LX series telescope. Hope this helps :)

    Clear skies!
