Man awesome movies like this make all the crapime you see nowadays like Naruto pale by comparison. This is back when anime was dark and sinister and not for kids, but we watched it as kids anyways, lol. Now anime is fraught with 14 yr olds with mystical ninja powers who do to high school... CRAP. It's no different then American animation. We had great stuff like Batman TAS and X-men in the early-mid 90s. Nowadays animators turn out shit like Teen Titans. Disgusting. I feel so sorry for kids today, hell, I feel sorry for everybody.

I agree that alot of the stuff is weaker, but alot of people like stuff like naruto, the story is still good behind it and some of the fights get pretty gory. Although i agree, Fist of the North star is probably the best anime movie ever.

The issue isn't new vs old, it's shit vs quality. Overwhelming majority of stuff out there nowadays is wretched garbage, very hard to find anything worth watching. Naruto is complete trash. It makes you an inferior human being with inferior taste for liking it.

For those who have only seen the movie, please go watch the series. The ending to the movie (the original ending) sucks. That Ken vs. Raoh confrontation ended like the alternate ending in the middle in the series and Ken and Raoh have their rematch.

In the series, Ken and Raoh do indeed have a rematch. I guess I don't really have to tell you how it ends, but the content of it is pretty suprising, as the two face each others as equals who care for the other.
