@vasheeri Well. It's certainly different from the feel of every other cartoon that had batman in it in the last 15 years but I would say there's nothing quite wrong with it. I mean nothing ever really topped Batman the animated series and this seems more like a love letter to batman's origins as a comic book character which is just as valid a batman as the recent versions. It's sort of like adam west batman 2.0.

But despite the corniness of the dialogue and situations it plays it pretty straight and doesn't seem to make too many self referential jokes at the medium or the character batman. It's a good show but if you like serious batman it can be a boring watch.

I love how people don't understand that Batman's rich history leaves him open to a multitude of various interpretations. He's not just restricted to the dark, marble gargling creature of the night from TAS & TDK, he can be whatever socity want's him to be at the time.
