Even with stock WinMo I haven't had any problems, you'll need CorePlayer (paid) for WinMo though, I recommend stuffing Android on it, then you'll need Arcmedia (free) from market.

Actually plays YouTube/iPlayer videos better than my netbook (lag free) and you can use Orb to send media from your PC.

I'm up for a new sprint phone, I was considering the Evo, but its an extra $10permo for 4G, but it has unlimited data, and 3G only has a 5GB limit per month, IS 5GB A TON OF DATA? , and i wont have to worry about going over? I'd have to try WM7 before I can really comment on it, however Android does everything I want so far; usual phone functions + audio/video streaming + ability to block headset (typical HTC hardware fault with non-offical headphones - main reason for leaving WM6.5).

Until mobile network speeds improve (or 4G arrives) to at least 10Mbps, I doubt I'll be shelling out another £500 for a new phone. Being in the UK, it could be a long wait.

@kfki Get your facts straight. You can install Android 2.2.1 Froyo on the HD2, and it runs it much better then the EVO (most likely due to Sprints bloatware or something. )

@kfki Well.... There is this place, called XDA-Developers, yeh? They cook new ROMs so you can boot up android, from your WinMo :) It means that the android isn't installed internally on your HD2, but it can be run from your SD card! :) By the way, my mobile scores about 2100 in Quadrant right now.

One thing I like about the HD2 is the choice between Android and Windows Mobile.

Also there isn't going to be a WM7 upgrade for the HD2, it was cancelled, basically the HD2 just isn't up to it, needs a GPU. Apparently WM7 lagged a bit on the HD2.

@otester yes and no..HD2 is in essence not as fully spec'd - no video/HDMI out (thats about the only notible difference of it - but really every tv or DVD player has USB these days anyway - so you sync via USB disk drive..)

However - ALL major development happens on the HTC HD2. So as far as to say "not really a competition" well that would be correct if evo was trying to stack up against the HD2, because HD2 is the far superior phone thanks to all the dev's. MAGLDR v1.11 released!!!

I don't like the look of Revolution HD, I'd just prefer a plain version of it.

@smartbomb05 You need to change your ROM and Radio. I'd recommand getting tytung's Nexus build with 2.12 radio. I use the Energy ROM which is pretty much barebones.

Also for the Nexus build, try to download V1.7, i heard 1.8 has issues.

and READ VERY CAREFULLY or you might BRICK your phone.

Ive had the iPhone 4 since the day it came out in June and besides the camera and multitasking, I saw NOTHING different from the previous 3G lol. I have had an EVO 4G since last friday and it is AWESOME! I used to hate on it because i had the iPhone 4 and all but i regret every word! lol. But, while i was shopping around for phones (because the EVO was on back order but i still got one (: ) i was trying out the Epic 4G and the screen was way better than the iPhone. but hands down EVO= BETTER! :)

@strobe9 Yeah same here, I think it's a limitation on LCD technology with the screen. I played with the Epic 4g at Spring a few days ago and the black levels on the Super AMOLED screen are amazing! Although I'm happy with my Evo, don't watch too many movies so it's not a deal breaker for me.

@brownukelele Good, get the Vibrant, the hardware and software is better in every way possible. Only thing it doesn't have is front facing and flash, which honestly, is a gimmick and rarely used. For crying out loud, the Evo only produces 64k in colors while the Super AMOLED for the Vibrant can produce 16 million, and has been touted as arguably brighter and better then the iPhone 4's "retina" display (except for the "retina's amazing resolution that allows you read small text with perfection).
