I remember when this came out, I was a little bit younger and didn't like horror games, I never saw a trailer for this game so the title 'Beyond Good and Evil' gave me the impression that this was a horror game... couple of years later I tried the game and damn, this is probably my all time favourite....

And it really is like coming home. I was alwasy happy, coming home seeing the dog and stuff like that. And later in the game when you lose your home i really cried. That was the first ever in a video game I felt really at home in one place. Greetings from Germany^^

I remember my aunt buying this game for me for my 6th Birthday XD

I remember it so well; me, my Sister and my Dad all had a save file and took turns to play it for an hour each on some weekend afternoons back then.

We always got stuck on many parts since it was like the first video game me and my sister every played XD.

It took me a few years, but I eventually managed to 100% it and I remember being sad because at that point, it played quite a large part in my life and then it was all over :(

Having watched a Let's Play as far as the end of the Mr. de Castellac/Ancient Mine mission, read a few reviews, and heard some of the music, I can only conclude that I really need to buy this game. I might wait for the HD remake, but if they've changed the music I'll buy a copy of the PS2 version. Love this track.

It's just amazing that this game had merely ok graphics and a sub-par fighting system, and yet none of it mattered. It had genuine characters and a place to explore and fall in love with. Too many games these days go for "Hey, kids, its fun! Mario and DK are back for another by-the-numbers adventure that will leave you craving a bygone time when those games felt cared for!" A game needs to be a personal, emotional experience like any other kind of art and thank god someone out there knows it

after completing my module of games modeling design of my multimedia and games developement, i can easily say this is one of the best games ever. graphics are top. they were not too gritty or scary yet not to childish. this allowed it to appeal to a wide age range. music was fantastic and it mixed so many game types. puzzle, fps, platform, racing, space flight, 3rd person and it had an excelent story and longetivity without being left with dry spells of boring trudging. bring on BGEHD! XBL!!!
