This song in Gaelic would have been a winner but Ireland (being bankrupt) obviously didn't want to run the risk of winning and having to organize the next edition so they make sure they'd loose by sending the jedward gaylords.
Very Celtic Woman-ish... not that that's a bad thing, but they have no hope against the disco acrobatic pyrotechnic spectaculars that are the hallmark of the ESC today.
2012 Will mark the 40th anniversary of Irelands only song entered in the Irish language....Why dont we ask Liam Lawton to write a song for the Vard sisters in IRISH and send it in 2012......Europe needs to hear our ancient language!! What do you think?
@Anton17745 Unfortunately those days are gone. These days It's all about backround circus's, monster costumes and really bad acts that generally win the eurovision. Also the political voting system does not help either with all the eastern european countries voting for each other.
Pleasant though this song is, I couldn't see this getting out of the semi-finals especially as the UK can't vote for Ireland in this year's semi. The song is tooe ordinary and rather unmemorable. Songs like this in Eurovision stand no chance these days. Think of the young catchy modern performances from Norway and Germany which have won in recent years!
This song gives me goosebumps - it's that good ! It's kind of like a blend of a Disney love theme,a hymn, and a lullaby. I'll be voting for The Vard Sisters (and/or Don Mescall, depending on how he sounds live). I've seen the Vards perform live on tv many times, and they're flawless every time ! I like ESC entries to sound like the country they came from - this song stands out as being from Ireland.

Great song, even though I'd prefer to see them singing in Gaelic. Vard or Nikki to ESC!
