What number can you divide both 15 and 20 by? The key is finding a number that you can divide both the numerator and denominator evenly by. When there are no numbers you can divide by the fraction is in simplest form.
thnks man it was very helpful, thnks for spending ur own time and preparing this usful video for us, i think tht is just a fantastic thing to do. I think because of u people that prepare these useful and helpful video more and more people are passing their exams and i am one of them, so i can;t do or give anything to you but the only thing i can do is to say thnk you soo much.
Could you help me to answer this question? Fill in the blank question: "To write a fraction in the simplest form, divide it's numerator and denominator by the ______ ______ they both have." This is my son's math question and I can't explaine it to him. Thank you, I appreciate it.
When you have 4776/10000 you can divide by 8 on the top and bottom of the fraction to get 597/1250. There is no number that we can divide both 597 and 1250 by so our fraction is in simplest form!
thank you very very much...i kept answering this question wrong & couldn't understand why...i was thinking that there could be any answer because i kept dividing by different #'s including 8 but I didn't know which answer to choose. I didn't know that what the way to view it.(which you have mentioned) now when i have a test I can remember that rule.
omg thank you.

@khusankurbanov
It was actually developed over a long period of time, not invented.
Search for "history of math" on Wikipedia for more details! :-)

So you can just pick a random number for the thing you divide By?
themalvasikids 1 year ago
@themalvasikids
It not really random. You can divide by any number that will divide evenly into the numerator and denominator. :-)

Help Please what is the simpliest form of 72/90
holdentem 1 year ago
@holdentem
We can divide on the top and bottom by 18 to get 4/5.
There is nothing else that we can divide 4 and 5 by, so our fraction is in simplest form.

@BadRadicalZO6
I believe the answer would be "greatest factor". In other words, the biggest number that both can be divided by.
I hope that helps! :-)

i need help on the problem 60/72? can ya help
kmcvey456 1 year ago
We look to see what number we can evenly divide 60 and 72 by.
2, 3, 4, 6, and 12 all work.
12 is the largest, so we'll divide by 12 on the top and bottom of the fraction.
60/12 = 5
72/12 = 6
So our simplfied fraction would be: 5/6
I hope that helps! :-)

wat about 0.25X10(2 THE POWER OF 5)i need reply fast
singapore11 2 years ago
0.25 x 10^5
I'm assuming you need that in standard form. To make the conversion, we just move the decimal point five places (the power of 10) to the right.
So we get: 25000.
I hope that helps!
