  • your dad being your coach... not a great idea i think

  • Texas always puts out the best atheletes!

  • @ 2:30 That's me behind her ;)

  • She is an amazing athlete!! Not to mention overwhelmingly beautiful!

  • Seriously, who couldn't be proud of her dedication! She is so amazing and we should all be so proud of her!

  • shes so fucking hot.

  • YAY! I really hope she makes it -3

  • @xGoodbyeLullabyx HI, that would be a great team, BUT did you hear 2:10 a new rule, 5 gymnast instead of 6. That means that the team will have only 5 members, not 6 anymore or 7 like in 1996 Olympics!

  • I saw Nastia perform at the Philadelphia Trials in 2008. She was awesome then (at at the Beijing Olympics of course). :)

I really hope she makes it to London!!

  • My Dream team is Jordyn, Shawn, Nastia, McKayla and Aly or Alicia, with alternates Rebecca and Chelsea

  • @GladiolusPrincess Good team but in some places I disagree with you, here is my point:

Team USA is weak on bars and you've only put in 1 good bar worker that being Nastia, and you've put 2 very decent bar workers at alternates. The Russians and the Chinese are swingers and will have a huge advantage over team USA if USA do not put in at least 1 extra UB specialist.

  • @liukin95 its just my opinion but anyway i seriously dought that anyone deciding the team will do what fans say plus I wasn't thinking about events, i was just thinking about the people and nastia was the really only good bars person in USA at the olympics but i loved all the others who performed. The only person in my team that i really do want to make the team is SHAWN she is my fav gymnast :)

  • YAY!! this year's going to be the best!!!!

  • Dont get me wrong....there are gona be gymnasts left off the team that we would all like to see go but its not easy making it to the olympics regardless.

  • I like the five per team rule. Yes there are good ones left off the team but there always is. And do we really need all these gymnasts going up on each event and having them drop the lowest score. I do believe that is the new olympic rules for the team but in my opinion five is enough. Put the best up on each event. You can design a team that is sucessful with five. And sure it makes making the olympic team harder and there is more pressure but thats the olympics.

  • @xGoodbyeLullabyx Jordyn is almost 100% on that team. And Maroney probably 90%. Don't forget Kyla Ross who will be eligible next year..

  • Thumbs up if you think the new FIVE per team rule BLOWS!

  • My dream team is Nastia,Jordyn,Gabby,Aly,McKayla, and Becca. Unfortunately I have to leave one out and I don't know which one!

  • its good that so many older gymnasts are making comebacks and proving that your career doesnt have to end when your 16-18!

  • Rebecca looks good! So glad she's back to training

  • My dream team is A. Sac, Maroney, Wieber, Nast and Becca... (Douglas if Becca wasn't healed of her injury)

  • Rebecca Bross is looking good!:)

  • My team for the London's Olympics 2012: Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, Nastia Liukin, and Shawn Johnson.

    Alternates:

Rebecca Bross(not to full strength b/c she's injured maybe have it go in Rio 2016)

Alicia Sacramone (b/c she's also injured besides she already helped this previous young team won Gold in Tokyo)

    Gaby Douglas (Rio 2016)

    Sabrina Vega (Rio 2016)

    Katelyn Ohashi (Rio 2016) All-Around

  • @Huskyowner2007 I hate to say it, but if Alicia is recovered in enough time, I would rather have her on the team than Shawn. I've been a little disappointed with SJ's comeback, based on her performances both at national comps and at Pan Am's. If we had Alicia on vault, combined with Maroney and Wieber, the US would already have a HUGE advantage over the rest of the field, and ASac can do both beam and floor, too, if needed.

  • @QueenieQue Do you think A-Sac will be to full strength for time of the Olympics? And Besides how old will Alicia be during the time of the Olympics? Will she be twenty four? The reasons why I like Shawn is b/c she is still fairly young for London and she's pretty solid on all four events. I'm sure she will be well fit and ready to take on the challenge. She is good at Beam. She can do a Vault of a 16.5 (Amanar), and she has a solid floor routine. She is better on Bars than Alicia is

  • @Huskyowner2007 I don't know if ASac will be ready, but I've been less than impressed by SJ's comeback. Her beam is weak, since she can barely stay on it right now. Her bars would never be used for the team comp, anyway, and she hasn't gotten her Amanar back yet, so you can't vouch for that. Besides, there are stronger candidates than her on almost every apparatus. On vault, they'll use Maroney, Wieber, ASac/Raisman. She just gets pushed out.

  • @QueenieQue Man, it's sucks to think about it. They both are good! Why did they change the rules?! Man!

  • @Huskyowner2007 I know, I know! This is probably my least favorite rule change in the recent past (and that's including the age limit and the CoP!).

  • @Huskyowner2007 I agree with your 2012 team, but I think we won't be seeing Wieber, Raisman, Maroney and Johnson on the same team. I think only 3 power athletes will make it (with Sacramone and Kyla being in the mix as well). I think the last two spots are going to be 2 strong bar workers like Nastia and Rebacca (if she recovers). :)

  • @Mariite123 Yeah, we need Johnson for beam or vault, or floor though and she's fairly good on bars. I don't think Maroney is a power gymnast per say. She's more of a finesse gymnast with nice body lines. But if she is good on bars then we're set but she's not. I don't think Klya will make it because she needs an up grade in all her routines. She places 2nd to Ohashi on the all-around in the 2011 Junior competition and Ohashi is younger than her with greater difficulties in all events

  • @Huskyowner2007 McKayla has wonderful lines, but I'm counting her as a power gymnast because her strengths are vault and floor. I think Kyla has shown great consistency though she lacks international exprerience. 2012 will be an exciting year!

  • Nastia needs to be on that team especially for the uneven bars! And of course supportive leadership to help Jordyn Wieber (the rock) and Aly Raisman lead this young team to GOLD! I also hope we have another all-around GOLD for 2012!

  • @xGoodbyeLullabyx Awesome team, but too bad it's 6 people... I hate this new 5-girl rule. It sucks. :(

  • @laughandlove2 its a stupid rule, it puts a lot of pressure on the whole team, what if one girl gets hurt???? then its up to 4 girls to do everything!!!!! that's ridiculous!

  • @AlexRenae2 It does put tons of pressure on the whole team, but I'm assuming a traveling alternate would be put in if someone is injured... only 4 girls would mean every score counted, and I don't think Marta would want to take that risk.

  • The reporter is right. It has never been harder to make the team. There has never been more talent and less spots. But I see Nastia making it. Nastia does 2 events that are practically unbeatable. On a good day she could be the top UB and BB worker in the world. Plus it could be argued that she delivers as much as anyone in crunchtime. And Marta knows it. The London 2012 team will be stacked any way you cut it. Bross, Nastia, Wieber, Sloan, Shawn, Vega, ASac?, Reisman and on and on

  • @kickingitgymstyle I totally agree. It's awesome that the field is so deep, but I'm kind of dreading the selection because it's guaranteed that some amazing girls are going to be left off. :(

  • @laughandlove2 It's true some amazing ones will be left off as always.

  • @kickingitgymstyle I agree! I think she is gonna do it! Her bars is practically unbeatable and she is awesome on beam and floor as well. And they dont need her vault but they need her experience. She is a champion and team USA needs her.

  • WOW Nastia is back :O So happy to see my girls back to business and I hope Rebecca is part of USA team she totally deserve it.

  • @Itsjoooory Rebecca *does* really deserve it, I feel for her... it must be kind of weird in the gym, because it's likely that Nastia and Becca will end up competing for the same spot... hopefully it doesn't come to that! I hate 5-member teams. :(

  • thx for cappin and uppin this =) also i know someone is going to eventually ask "why can't i hear them talking" it's because the audio is split between the left and right channels. left channel is the narration/commentary and right is ambient noise/background music so if you are having trouble make sure both your channels are working or set your computer's audio from stereo to mono

  • @iLITTER No problem! And thanks for clarifying that, I hadn't realized that there may be a problem with the audio :)

  • @laughandlove2 it's actually nice that it is like that, makes getting the commentary for use in future videos a lot easier and cleaner
