An awesome score to a cool underrated Sci-fi vampire/zombie/succubus movie and a unique take on three lores. This movie is like a cross between Grindhouse, The Keep, Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Near Dark in one.
This movie proves that not all vampires are a bunch of romantic fags in rental formal wear and seducing everyone with cheesy eurotrash accents while sucking your blood on your neck while having something up your strada-chocolata.
Thanks, i am a vampire fan. Would you consider Killer Klowns from Outer Space to be a vampire movie as well? it is listed on some vampire movie lists. They are also alien vampires of sorts as they do have fangs and sharp teeth but don't bite people, instead they wrap people in cocoons then suck their blood with sharp straws.
@Johnlindsey289 Yes, KKFOS is another unique vampire film and one of my many guilty pleasures as it's one of those it's so bad it's good type of movies.
Does this movie remind you of a cross between The Keep, Snyder's Dawn of the Dead and those Vampirella comics? afterall Dan O'Bannon is a fan of Vampirella comics and was probably influenced by them with the whole concept of vampire legends born from aliens, ever read or own any Vampirella comics? if you liked this one, check out Daybreakers and Stakeland.
@Johnlindsey289 It reminds me of a cross between Captain Kronos, Planet of the Vampires, Alien, Nightmare City, ROTLD, The Keep and those Vampirella comics, which i've read and have a few of. Daybreakers was great but i didn't care much for Stakeland.
@Bondfan1995 The Doctor (no matter the incarnation) will always find a way to defeat his enemies. The Space Vampires are no exception. Rory will die of course, Amy will cry, K-9 makes a great cameo shooting at them, and Captain Jack will make the naked female vampire happy. Leela would be kick ass in this too.
He's awesome and i was using a quote from John Carpenter's vampires. And do you like how Lifeforce's vampires are different because they are aliens? they have no need for fangs or sucking blood. Do you like how this movie has a different take on vampire lore as these aliens are the origin to vampires, zombie and succubi? it broke the rules. And do you think just because these vampires are different doesn't mean they sparkle right?
do you also think it's cool that these aliens are an ancient race of vampires who are the ancestors to the vampires and succubus creatures of legends and their victims originally as the origin of zombies? and what if Edward cullen met the space vampiress?
@Johnlindsey289 I like all the actors you have mentioned (the weakest as Dracula being Gary Oldman, but I thought he still did well). I like Max Schreck and Klaus Kinski too.
I enjoyed this movie since i was 10 and been one of my favorite zombie and vampire movies. Do you think this movie has a unique twist on vampire, zombie and succubus lore in Sci-fi? i mean the aliens in this movie are of an ancient race of vampires who came to Earth eons ago and are the ancestors to the vampires of legend and even the origin to zombie and succubus legends. Do you like how these vamps don't have fangs or suck blood but energy instead?
Anyone ever notice the similarities between this music and some of the music that the NFL uses for its commercials?

@fievel12b NFL needs more naked vampires though! :)

You glad they don't sparkle?

This would make a great Godzilla theme.

This is a really weird soundtrack for a movie about Alien Vampires, It feels like Star Wars.

this theme sounds a bit like pirates of the caribbean mixed with X2.

Listen to John Ottman's score to X2. It sounds very similar to this.

Crazy similarities to the Sam Spence NFL song "The Equalizer"!

What if Buffy and the gang fought these space vampires? or even Bill Compton from True Blood?

@Johnlindsey289 I don't think they'd stand a chance against these vamps. lol

@TheAltair4 I Think The Doctor does have a chance, in the form of Peter Firth. (TARDIS demeterializing) .
