hey, im trying to burn the little mermaid DVD and for some reason it doesnt seem to burn with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter technique. the DVD is really clean and it is good condition but it gets to 10% and says that "check condition" , im really confused on how to burn the DVDs because i really want them for my collection. do you have any suggestions? thanks Bek

Disney has the BEST security there is. Making copies of there stuff requires more work. I am assuming you own this copy and are trying to make a backup for your own household viewing... not stealing from a rental place or a friend. Right? Ok. In that case (sorry to say) DVD Shrink isnt going to do the job by its self. You need a program called DVD Fab. That should turn it into an audio and video file (2 separate ones). Then you can continue the process with DVD Shrink. Good luck!

why do you need dvd shrink? when dvdfab has a vso burning engine!!! also dvdfab is way better once u use it you wont want to go back to this!!!! Also disney movies r the easiest to copy, Also use dvd43.

Well.. because THAT is another tutorial. Besides the awesomeness of fab only really happened within the last year, and this video is over a year old. AND I was trying to do something completely free at the time. But you know, Fab costs money for the things ur doing... hmmm... we dont hack n crack herez! He he he.. thanks for the tip though!

i got the serial u dont need 2 hack or crack just get the serial on the internet, i found it!! besides dvdfab 4.2.2 version worked with alot of new movies i have 2 months with vers 5.3.2.2 and its awesome, ill give u a clue on how to get the serial :mininova

@fullboost99 I Don't Use Any Of These Programs I Use Format Factory and Just Take The Movie Off As An AVI File Then I Use ConvertXToDVD4 and make my own menus and length of chapters

I use this program but it doesn't take that long.. just click the OPEN DISK button or the OPEN FILES button if u have the DVD files on your hard drive then after the program checks the disk u have to make sure 100% of the disk will copy to a single layer disk or u will have to use a double sided disk just click on BACK UP and the program will burn the image to DVD.. really simple and quick. I am surprised this is free and hasn't been taken off the market

The technique is perfectly legal. Simply do not copy things that are illegal to copy.

Totally depends on what your burner can handle. Its not the program, its the burner. I can use either... of you computer is pretty new (I'd say a year or so) likely you could use either too... but check your system or look on your burner itself... some systems have it right there.

well my computer play and burn both. But when I play the movies on a dvd player which can also read both, one of them skips while the other one doesn't.

Sorry... not with these programs you can't. These are super simple free programs. If you want to be able to edit out shots or "personalize" it, you are going to need video editing software, not just ripping and burning software. Sony Vegas 8 Pro could likely do it... but that program is buku-bucks. I'm not aware of anything freeware at this time that could do what you'd like. But I'll keep an eye out.

The method depends on what version of Windows you are using. I have Vista. So in vista, you simply right click on the screen, select "Personalize" and select "Window Color and Appearance."

However, for me... technically my task bar is not Black... my wall paper is black bordered and the task bar is set to "Default" which makes it transparent-sort-a.
