I was like 9 or 10 when the whole Death of Superman thing happened, and my dad knew I was a fan, and used to buy me Superman comics, but he didn't for a while, and it turns out he thought that The Death of Superman would have traumatized me. So, I recently bought the first part in graphic novel form. I can't wait to get the second part, World Without a Superman.

The first time i read the "Death of Superman" series, i was very moved but afterwards it just gets very confusing and puzzling, how come there were four "new" Supermen and afterwards the original Superman returned from death to battle some Imperiex guy who supposedly was more powerful than Doomsday and then it was Doomsday who was now a "good

guy" battling Darkseid, Imperiex and a new guy

After Doomsday's body was turned over to Cadmus following the battle with Superman in Metropolis, he had human DNA merged into his. This gave him intelligence and the ability to speak. Anyway, he was convinced to fight against Imperiex and was again killed there. His body regrew and he came back to life. Hard to explain Gog in these comment boxes. He came later. First a villian, then a converted hero of a sort. He came from the future to destroy Superman. Hope this helps some.

I am annoyed that almost none of these videos show the Superman "killed" Doomsday also. Superman was not defeated - he won his greatest victory, even in "death." He saved Metropolis and probably the world. A triumphant hero to the end.

The saddest thing was that the Kents who never revealed that they were his earth parents were never able to say farewell to their son. They would not have been considered VIPs to get close to his coffin. What they did was go to the crater where he arrived as a baby and buried in it many of his things he had since he was little. Very heartbreaking.

Not true. Superman Returns occurs after superman 2. 3 and 4 never happened with new storyline.  When Superman slept with lois when he became "human", she was impregnated. If superman 3 happened, Lois would have shown a belly.

The current JLA in the comic that year was conformed by Ice, Fire, Guy Gardener as green lantern, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, also Guardian from Cadmus helped, the images from the video are from the next chapters after Superman died, in the burial event.That means like 3 numbers after the dead of superman.

Blunt Trauma. Like I said, he just took too many of Doomsday's punches for hours upon hours. They fought like the whole day. Basically, Doomsday wore out Superman and Superman was exhausted and almost going unconscious towards the end of the fight.
