@cassiemyclyde My paint mare listened to me. We were riding and she wanted to go check out the new horse and threw a fit when I told her to keep going. She reared and when we came down she was about to go back up again. All I said was "Cinnamon, stop." and she stopped. Not all horses will but some do. And really, is a little kid (obviously enjoying herself) going to think it through and not tell the pony to stop? That's what kids do--tell you to stop if they don't want you doing something.

Despite it being not too much 'fun' for the pony, this is - in my opinion - one of the best exercises for kids to practice balancing, and gaining confidence in riding a horse that's a little harder. It prepares them for future, bigger horses...; :) Well done, little one!!
