nice studio bro im working on mine i am working on my own studio i got my booth done and im getting the Presonus Audiobox and the MXL Genesis Tube Mic and im running off a pc with 4 gigs of ram and i record with cubase 4 if u want to check out my music and all that
@asecretninja It comes and goes....once you have the equipment, you simply don't need anything else but good dependable musician to share it with...but that's hard to come by these days......people don't want to make commitments to jam like they used to it seems....really is disappointing.....Thats why i do so much acoustic stuff.....
it's nice to click on a video on youtube that has in fact nothing to do with van halen, and you watch and hear cabo wabo. nice music bro. and nice gear!
i have a question,,, i wonder if u know how to use this mixer with recording softwares,,,i bought it few days ago,,,, but i couldn't figure out how to use it properly ,,,,, i could hear the effects only when the headphones ar connected with the mixer but on the software the sound is normal without any effects ?!!
does anybody i got a ? i just bought a mixer behringer xenyx 802 i set up the eq on there do i still have to eq on the program with program or just go head in comp and desser???????? can someone pls help me thank you god bless you
Please i want to build a room to record my music with friends !!! Please suggest to some parts the basic parts to start up with !!! I dont want something special and expensive ! I want something simple !!!
you can buy owens corning 703 rigid fiberglass in 2" thick 2'x4' blocks often sold by the dozen for CHEAP! And make your own. i bought a dozen for like $120 or so, you have to shop around, but it is much less expensive than prefab "sound proofing" material, and it works every bit as good. just build a wwooden frame, glue the panel to it, and cover it with breatheable fabric, and staple gun to the back of the frame, and your ready to rock! looks good too!
@Mukilteoman The problem with Auralex is it does virtually nothing for low frequency problems, which is the source of most problems. I can hear some pretty severe acoustic issues in your room. You could tame those problems using less treatment, using something like 705FSK instead. BTW, I've been running a mid-sized professional studio for ten years an have never owned a Mac.
I really do like your tour though. I love seeing how people like to work.
cool gear! i just ordered my studiolive 16.4.2 today! cant wait! antsy in the pantsy! just a tip for all you guys not wanting to bother your neighbors.. Using acoustic treatment panels (homemade, or otherwise) does absolutely nothing for preventing sound bleed through walls... density is what matters... ie double or tripple thickness 5/8" drywall, or brick. acoustic treatments are used to tune the room.
@ChrisTylerBalcerak THATS RIGHT CHRIS.......I DONT HAVE THAT PROBLEM WITH NEIGHBORS....IF YOU LOOK ON MY YOUTUBE SITE YOU WILL SEE MY NEW STUDIO, THATS AN OLD STUDIO. GO DOWN ABOUT 15 VIDEOS AND YOU'LL SEE THE NEW 900 SQ FT STUDIO CALLED "MY HOME STUDIO".....ENJOY YOUR 16.4.2....LEARN IT!..LIVE IT!...LOVE IT.......

That line 6 amp is not all tube. It has a tuber power section, the pre section is totally digital.

At last somebody that treats the room with the most importance. The room is 50% of a good recording. If not more!

What type of clients do you have?
How do you advertise if this is not a hobby?
Thanks,

Can Someone answer a question for me?
Why do people use a mixing board and cubase or pro tools at the same time?
I thought that pro tools was a virtual mixing baord?
So why do you need both?
GuitarMaster325 1 year ago
@GuitarMaster325 so then they can record more than 2 or 3 tracks at the same time.
nijt1 1 year ago
@nijt1 Do you need both, a mixer and protools, or can you just use protools by itself?
GuitarMaster325 1 year ago
@GuitarMaster325 No. You need a Mixer or Audio Interface and pro tools.
you need this because your instruments somehow need to get into Pro Tools.
Hope this helps.
