what i was question about is that here you have a nice HD-TV but not so nice computer with a VGA out port. if you have afford with a nice tv like this you should upgrade/buying new your computer first imo.
jees allot of hate for misspelling. am i insulting some one?
samsungs are overated, the only reason people buy samsung tv's is because of their name. have you ever heard of pioneer? no but it just happends they had created the best tv that has ever been made, look it up on cnet its the Pioneer elite kuro. Samething with the sony's. sony dont make that good of tv's but people buy em because of that stupid sony logo bassically because of their name. what im saying isnt an opinion its all fact do your research.
I haven't and won't, In the shops 1080p's are close to the 720p models and there isn't enough of a difference to make me shell out another £400, but I saw this online graph telling you the distances from your television you would start to distinguish 1080p from 720p and that it had the same effect as increasing screen size.
Umm...no? Theres a huge difference between a 1080p picture and a regular tv regardless of size. I don't know where you got that from, but you're sadly mistaken.
I wasnt talking about regular TV's. If you are buying anything less than a 50" go with 720p...because it is a FACT that 1080P is not distinguishable below (Actually) 52".
but is this tv better than my 1984 rabbit ears tv WITH chrome trimming might i add........huh?..is it?i can wrap aluminum foil around the antenna and make it look CLEARer..who needs hd..
i was kidding ...anyway im assuming u have the series 6..do u think i should get one of those? cuz im about to buy me a tv real soon..but not to sure if the series 6 is worth it?..so yeah like ,is it worth?..thanks in advance
if u got like €1800 yeah definately. best tv atm..... 46" 1080p 50,000:1 im gettin a dvd upscaler with it dunno if it is with all..... (upgrades normal dvds to 1080p quality) brilliant sound quality yeah id buy....but i dunno when series 7 is coming out.if series 7 is coming soon id w8 because i always want the next best.but any major difference not really. so u can decide on this info. :D
aw man i want that tv so bad ...and i think the 7 series is out already..it just has a built in subwoofer but i got a surround souund waiting for my tv anyway..but anyway even the new 8 series came out already..thanks for the reply though..i think ima buy the 6 2morrow...oh yeah and hows the 120hz working for you..do u like it or is it 2 much 4u like alot of other people said it was?..thanks in advance again
well honestly if u watch sports in hd u will luv it!!they guy at the shop sed the tv shades in the blurred colours(e.g like players at a distance or running)
I have a similar one to this the only difference is the base is square and the power button is on the top.
I am VERY impressed with this TV. The picture quality is absolutely unbelievable, and GTA IV on my 360 looks outright amazing. I would recommend this TV to anyone. I don't care who you are, how much money you have, you MUST have this TV!!!
I saw that tv in best buy playing a blu-ray disc of Willy Wonka and it was gorgeous I had to have it. But I settled for the 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p HDTV.
WHAT IS THE PC INPUT DISPLAY RESOLUTION!!! I was thinking about Sony XBR variations but there PC INPUT DISPLAY is only viewable at 1366 x 768!??!? This makes me want to buy this samsung... going to curcuit city today to pick this one up... cant find the PC input display information ANYWHERE on the web.
hey if the tv has full 1080p and u buy a hdmi cable for full 1080p does it do anything? i dont get it? i thought the cable was to bring a 720 to a 1080 or 1080i to a 1080p...i ordered a samsung 40 inch and it says FULL HD 1080p....will a cable make it better??
you Only buy HDMI if you have something to connect it to. PS3, Blu-Ray Player, something that also has HDMI connections. In that case you HAVE to buy HDMI to have full quality.
my father just purchased this tv only a 40" 1080P today- it has beautiful color saturation, crisp clean images- the picture itself is among the elite of LCD'S out there- Excellent product excellent price- very satisfied user thanks samsung for makin products that P0WN!!!
@jordler You will see a diffrent if u take one with 100 fps and another one with 120 fps, the one with 120 fps will run more smoothly and with less latency!
1080i is very standard now and in my opinion it isnt the best, some preferr it but let me put it this way "i would rather play ps3 in 1080i than 720p", the tv in my living room dose 1080p it is made by toshiba 46inchs it cost alot i love it, we got sky hd for it aswell so im lookin forward to when i can open my ps3 cause it arived today but i cant open it till christmas, it came with spiderman 3 blu-ray, fifa08, heavenly swords and motorstorm. and i got the blu-ray remote and a 1080p hdmi.
dumbass your tv SAYS 1080I WHEN YOU PLAY PS3 BUT IT DOWNSCALES IT TO A 720p SOOOOO 1080I AND THE PS3 GAMES SUCK 720p IS WAYYYY MUCH BETTER 1080i IS BETTER FOR BLU RAY
Imagine trying a Playstation 3 on a Samsung HD 1080p DLP 56 inch TV! Talk about having friends over playing Fight Night Round 3 in full 1080p color and picture! They jaws hit the floor! I'm very fortunate to own these toys.
Ya I own an LNT4065F. I must say that it's a huge step up from the 61F. The extra 5k dynamic contrast and glossy screen make the blacks look black. The 65F so far has the deepest, richest blacks out of any TV I've seen thus far. No Bravia or any current plasma can compete to the 65Fs.
umm...ok. I own the Samsung LN-T4665F 46" 1080p -its the upgraded glossy screen- and its the best TV I've ever owned. Everyone that comes over craps in their pants when they see how beautiful the picture is. I as well as my friends are all in the film and TV biz...so we know what we're talking about. Believe me dude, you're talking out of your ass.
This TV isnt as good as mine, the 65f...but nonetheless it got CNETs highest rating. and the USERS all love it. So you're crazy basically for saying that.
I'm not bragging, Im making a point. I was replying to samthedrawer who says this tv sucks. My Tv shares practically all the same components as this TV, so I used it to demonstrate that he's full of crap. I wasn't trying to brag, not my style. Did I mention I have a 9 inch cock?
eylshazuela, the "p" in 1080p stands for Progressive Scan, that means that the whole screen refreshes at once whereas the "i" in 1080i means Interlaced which means it refreshes vertically then diagonally making the illusion of motion. Obviously "p" is better than "i" but it's the same ammount of pixels.
eylshazuela - The "i" stands for interlaced, and the "p" stands for progressive. 1080i is worse quality than 1080p, because interlaced video, divides the lines that show the video into even and odd sections, and flickers the picture in even and odd portions, making it worse quality, and noticeably blurrier, less sharp, and just uglier. 1080p displays all the lines at the same time, instead of alternating them like 1080i, therefore, it's the sharpest HD quality available right now.
Hai, I was at a electrical store and i've seen sharp aquos(42 inch) and samsung 1080p (42 inch) and when WarHawk and Heavenly Sword was being advertised on both tv's, only sharp Aquos had the better hand.
Also....the same called Gaming mode?pff, I'd defenitly skip any LCD product.
The new high end DLPS are the way to go, Panasonic Viera PLasmas are also pretty nice.
Anyways I recommend the Samsung LED DLP 50" HT-T5089S Display, the responce time it has is 16us...us as in less than 1 micro seconds, which makes it one of the best TVS for gaming besides a CRT.
They guy is bullshitting, you'll still see that shadow/ghosting/blur effect. Sure the Sharp Aquas are have 4ms which is better, but not perfect. If you want the best type of TV for gaming, Samsung has a new line of LED DLPs that have 'O' lag and a perfect responce time, just as Mitsubishi....Also with all LCDs, you'll experience gaming lag with 480i content.
I bought this tv few weeks ago, the gaming mode is shit, my ps3 looks better not in gaming mode. Over all this is one sweet tv, looks amazing on blue-ray:)
This isn't sold anymore, the one closest to this, is the LN-T4665F. It has 15000:1 contrast ratio and all the other stuff he said, but it's 2600USD (4186$ canadian), and it's not available on Tigerdirect Canada
To be honest, neither. I would have to go with Sharp Aquos 46" it has as much variety, and it has a lower price tag, you can find one as low as $1600. (1080p, 2 component, 2 RCA, 2 HDMI, 1 svideo, 1 coaxial, 1 vga/dvi, 1 surround sound output, and smart detect)
the LC-46D92U Aquos has 15,000:1 and gaming mode on the remote. Honestly Gaming mode is the standard thing to have on any HD tv now, it enhances the reverb, bass and tremble as well as making the gamma change according to the colours on the screen to make it more realistic when going into darker areas.
I want that he stops stuttering like 'th that that that is very good'

If you want the best type of TV for gaming, Samsung has a new line of LED DLPs that have 'O' lag and a perfect responce time, just as Mitsubishi....Also with all LCDs, you'll experience gaming lag with 480i content.

8ms isn't that fast. I'd take a Sony or Sharp any day. Who on earth would want that tv using the integrated speakers?

I would definitely go with some kind of 7.1 surround sound and an aquos, it is sharp (cool) and is made by sharp

Highest resolution in the world? No.

This isn't sold anymore, the one closest to this, is the LN-T4665F. It has 15000:1 contrast ratio and all the other stuff he said, but it's 2600USD (4186$ canadian), and it's not available on Tigerdirect Canada

oh
hey which tv would you getSamsung LN-T4661F 46 OR Samsung LNT4665F 46
not much diffrence and but theres about a 300 dollar diffrence
mattholmes06 4 years ago
To be honest, neither. I would have to go with Sharp Aquos 46" it has as much variety, and it has a lower price tag, you can find one as low as $1600. (1080p, 2 component, 2 RCA, 2 HDMI, 1 svideo, 1 coaxial, 1 vga/dvi, 1 surround sound output, and smart detect)

yeah but i wanna use this for gamming
and i really like the gamming mode.
mattholmes06 4 years ago
It has gaming mode, exactly like he said. It's a pitty Tigerdirect(dot)ca doesn't sell any.

Sharp Aquos 1080p 46" LCD HDTV** (LC46D82U) are you sure this tv has gamming mode because the specs dosent mention it.
and its only 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio the Samsung LNT4665F 46 has 15,000:1
the only positive for the aquos i see is the 4ms response time.
mattholmes06 4 years ago
the LC-46D92U Aquos has 15,000:1 and gaming mode on the remote. Honestly Gaming mode is the standard thing to have on any HD tv now, it enhances the reverb, bass and tremble as well as making the gamma change according to the colours on the screen to make it more realistic when going into darker areas.
joeb0 4 years ago
gaming mode is in every Aquos TV

i cant find the LC-46D92U in any stores on their websites
mattholmes06 4 years ago
I found it at sharpusa(dot)com

mattholmes06 4 years ago

That's why they don't mention it, it's a standard Audio Video mode that's in almost all tvs now.
