  • You have beautiful geckos.

  • This video is three years old so I'm sure you did it already, but you should take a lighter to the edges of the entrance to the moist hide to soften it up so they won't get cut.

  • I have a juvenile leo named Rocco and he has shed 2 times already. His spots have come in and he has orange starting to come in on his tail. I'm wondering what morph he is...His spottless parts are also yellow-orange looking. I've had him for a few months already.

  • @jaxon12kh Can you post a video or a picture of him on here for me to see? From what you say, it sounds like he is just a carrot tail. He should be old enough for me to be able to tell, but I won't know until I see him.

  • @adub013 Sure thing! The lighting isn't the best and I don't have any recent pics of him, but you can still see him. I got him from Pet Smart.

  • @jaxon12kh I uploaded the pictures. They will be in a video response.

  • @adub013 I might not be able to get a recent pic of him, but I'll have to see. I might find a picture of someone's else leo on the internet that looks just like Rocco.

  • @jaxon12kh Sounds good, just let me know! :)

  • Beautiful Terrarium.

  • @jaxon12kh Thank you :)

  • hey make sure you soften the edges on your moist hide because your leopard gecko can get cut if its too sharp

  • Hey dude useful vid .can u help? My leopard geckos leg looks really swollen wen it sheds it's skin ,I can see the old skin n even sprayed with water, but it won't come off. what do u think I should do ? Any ideas

  • @troy551000 Spraying it was a good start. If the shed still doesn't come off, and it is a recurring problem, put a humid hide in the tank. For the immediate problem of saving the gecko's leg, just get the skin off either using a pair of tweezers or your fingers, whatever you have to do.

  • @troy551000 hey the best thing to do if the shed isn't coming off you gecko is to get a plastic tub and put a little bit of luke warm water in it and let him or her soak for around 10 to 15 minutes but keep in eye out on her and dont leave him or her while in tub.hope this will help.

  • nice gecko bro i like the male sunglo

  • @xxIONBOMBxx Thank you.

  • nice gecko bro

  • i have a male and a female that live in the same cage but the female never comes out iv watched them at nite but i dont see them bullying each other

  • /watch?v=PgOFpitxHF0&feature=channel_video_title (tell me how i did)

  • wow they huge and fat

  • Hey man nice video it caught my eye cause I have a female identical to your male. Just wondering what morph he is, ive been told that mine is a hypo but I think she may have some tangerine or carrot tail in her so im interested to hear what you have to say. Your female is adorable and is a blizzard right?

  • @kris54537 Thanks. She's a sunglow, and the male is a hypo. I'd have to see yours in order to determine if she's a carrot tail or a tangerine, but if she is identical to Jess than she's just a hypo.

  • wach the mosit hide the entrence looks preety sharp u should put tape along the sharp part

  • People seem to forget a lot that it's possible to house a male and female together without them mating, just so they can be companions. If you trick the female into thinking it's summer ALL the time she will not ovulate, keeping the hot side 90 degrees and the cool side 82 will do this.

  • My geckos name is Jessie too :D

  • how old is the male

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a super hypo carrot tail morph because I have that same gecko but my geckos one parent was mixed a tremper giant and superhypo carrot tail so I have a giant super hypo carrot tail and she weighs 110 grams and 9 1/2 inches

  • do u have to use a haet mat i dont

  • i have a male and female and they use the same hide there pretty much the same size

  • i had 2 males before housed together for 5 years had to sell them on in the end but they never fought and used the same hide..

  • how old is the girl?

  • @HorseCrazy868 she's about 3 years old now.

  • u dont need uvb lighting for them as long as u feed them calcium with vitamin d3 just tryin to save u 80 bucks just have a heat lamp and have a night heat bulb in a heat lamp and a day heat bulb

  • you can house geckos together but just watch if bullying occurs, and give adub a break people, his geckos are in excellent condition and they look very healthy. i hate it when people jump down peoples throat, i tend to advize people, and i suggest that you keep an eye on them both and if fighting does occur then seperate which you proberly already know.

in my opinion i would only ever house a male with 2 or more females, but yours look fine so good luck.

    kind regards,

    brad (KingGeckos16)

  • @KingGecko16 thank you. they are separate now, but apparently no one reads the comments or the little things i put in the video.

  • i love your geckos but cant stand the tank, lol

  • Is it ok to have two Leos in a ten gallon because i have to female adults and they do fine.I will probably have a vid

  • @leopardgecko3797 well i kept them together for a long time and she never acted weird, so i dont know what you read.

  • @leopardgecko3797 two thing wrong with that statement, 1- you have no idea what you are talking about. 2- check your ignorance, I have been doing this for 10 years. I know what I am doing.

  • do they live on bark in the wild - erm well no

  • Dont house them together! It puts stress on the female.

  • Youtube. I need someone's help. I have so many petsin my life and I want some kind of a vote on wich kind I should get next. So far I have had Cat, Dog, Ferret, Betta Fish, Gold Fish, House Gecko, Leopard Gecko, Anole, and a bird. What do you think I should get next? Please leave a response. Thank You!!!

  • @Romblad7171 you you should get a bearded dragon

  • hey you should get them off loose substrate....

jk jk saw the other comment.

    nice gecko you have,

  • the only way i will ever feed my leopard geckos meal worms is to cut of the head so they can't eat threw there stomach

  • @mavjoe495

You don't need to cut there heads off. First that is gross first off and the mealworms are not going to eat through the stomach because the will be dead by then.

  • no

go back to the pet guy and tell him to think again buttfu*k

  • hey i got my gecko yesterday and the guy in the reptile shop suggestest woodchips and he has been breeding/selling/keeping every type of reptile for over 20years, personally i dont think a gecko would pick up a wood chip mine are quite big chips also, and he also said dont feed them mealworms because hes has problems with the gecko swollen it alive and the mealworms have little teeth and have bitten through the insides of the gecko and killed it, anyone else had this problem?

  • don't worry dude unless you have babies it is okay i had a baby die from a mealy eating through its neck so watch out okay? any more questions i am here

  • yeh my bad srry i wasnt trying to offend u ur vids are awsome and i read the other comments after i wrote this one so i apoligize

  • It's all good, don't worry about it. I just get so sick of everyone telling me how to care for them, you know? It's like, I've been doing this for more years than some of these people have been alive, and they think they know more than me.

  • nice vid...i recommend getting them off lose substrate if you havn't already...i can see both are pretty much old enough to be on it but repti carpet and papr towles are safer... my new leo just had his first shed aafter about 2 and a half months i was about to take him to the vet but i decided to try fatten him and grow him out of his skin with waxworms it workedXD and he seems to be healthy

  • Thanks or the advice. As I have posted in countless comments on this video (which I am going to take down because of things like this) I have since taken them off the substrate. If you read the message I put in the video that directed you to an update video, you would have seen they are on paper towels and you would have avoided looking stupid.

  • i just got one and its leg looks deformed its like a huge knee

  • That's nothing that I know of, probably just a genetic defect from birth.

  • i use repti carpet but what does the lizard look like when it gets impaction or inpaction or whatever it is

  • The carpet is fine. Their belly swells up huge because they can not pass food.

  • i got mine on memorial day and its tail isnt that big is that normal

  • yes

  • mine is really skinny but hes still a baby is that normal for them to b really skinny when there babies i got him on december 20

  • yes it is normal, they don't fatten up for a few months.

  • do you know how long leopard geckos go without heat

  • not long, i wouldn't do it for more than a few hours. keep them above 69 degrees at all times though, otherwise it will kill them.

  • nice leos :D

  • nice leos please watch my vids i update every week so comment and give me advice

  • i just got a leopard gecko and her name is kiki! thanx for the advice she just shed it was cool to whatch!

  • No problem! Yeah, they are fun! :)

  • not to be rude or anything but you should use carpet, the bark isn't awful but it can still cause harm to them. Great video though

  • Yeah I do now. That is an old video, I have since moved them on to paper towel.

  • are u stupid?

  • Some people are curious, but it was quite a dumb question to be honest.

  • 2 right lol

  • Neither of these geckos are sunglows. they are both hypo tangs

  • mine cost 30 dollars at petco.

  • That would be a very bad idea, frogs carry parasites and other diseases that Geckos do not, and their environments are polar opposite, Geckos need terrestrial and arid places, whereas frogs need arboreal and humid places. Not a good idea at all.

  • how much does one of these bad boys cost?

  • $10,000 for a pure bred loepard gecko. not kidding

  • 27 to 400 depends what breed

  • It can be as cheap at $5, and as expensive as $1700 I've never, in all the reptile expos and breeders that I have been to, seen one for $10,000. That guy is nuts. It all depends on the morph, breeder, and what the average going price is for that time. It changes from month to month really.

  • thanks man

  • No don't do that. Really bad idea. Seriously don't.

  • geckos dont require much humidity..but need humid hides when shed........but a lot of humidity can cause respiratory problems etc.

  • ure tank is very small theres not alot of hides and ure substrate is dangerous and uv lights r dangerous r u crazy

  • Apparently not considering both geckos are alive and healthy after more than two years, I think you need to go learn your shit before you patronize me for how I keep my animals. You need to learn how to spell as well.

  • oh im sorry ure mother is da one who thought me how to spell

  • NO UV IT CAN INJURE YOUR GECKOS

  • UV can not injure your geckos. I would know, I've only been doing this for 12 years.

  • are you fucking retarded uv can not injure geckos I hope you don't own any lizards cuase they are doomed with a idiot like you

  • although uv is not need for leopards cause they are nocturnal

  • geckosrule11 im interested can u make a vid showing them plz?

  • sunglow

  • what kinda morph is the female cuz my leo is the same color the store said she was a patternless

  • sunglow

  • they both are just hypo leopard geckos, she looks like a sunglow but does not have the eyes.

  • i talked to some breeders and mine turns out to be a super hypo tangerine baldy

  • can nyone help me make mi first video... any ideas for leopard geckos

  • im inerested in buying a gecko

  • Comment removed

  • my friend danny is selling few geckos if your intresed hes selling 1 2 month old black pearl hatchling 2 raptors 1 bell blazzing blizzard 1 chocolate carrotail and 3enigmas really ice please reply $20.00 each

  • im interested. can you make a vid of his leos. i might get 1. and were he live.

  • what is his contact?

  • I have two but I dont know how old they should be to check their sex.. by the way nice leos I have two myself one mck snow the other a patternless.

  • They are old enough to check the sex when you see testicles on the male lol, that's the only way to tell. Wow, those are some pretty geckos.

  • are you retarded that female is way to close to breed

  • Way to close, what does that even mean? And she bred just fine idiot.

  • nice tank

  • Thank you.

  • are you selling them

  • I plan to sell the babies if I can get them to hatch out, but I'm not selling the parents.

  • uvb willl make them go blind

  • fool they get uvb naturally in the wild. do some reading. however its definitely not essential when keeping them in captivity, indirect sunlight would suffice aslong as an appropriate temperature gradient is maintained.

  • thanks, someone who acctuly understands lol, it can also cure the early stages of MBD.

  • sorry dont lisen to me i have been going to a bad pet shop they need 2% uvb but they are not going to die or anything if they dont have it i hope i can get some vids of my leopard geckos up soon if im wrong with anything else just tell me (thanks to THEMacDool for telling me about this)

  • my leo doesnt have dots on its body exepy its head and tail like urs, what does that mean? thanks(:

  • Means he/she is a hypo Leopard Gecko.

  • if it has a few dots (like 6)

    is it still a hypo?

  • i have a calcium light instead of a calcium dish.

  • lol hes is not the father!

  • don't use a light bulb it stresses them out they're nocturnal and if they get too much light they will stop eating and eventually die but if u want to use it only keep it on for 8 hours and when its not on use a heat pad

    P.S. thats a big gecko

  • I've raised them from babies and they don't mind the light, they always eat. But thanks for the advice.

  • nice setup

i prefer using calcium sand though

  • same here

  • do not use calcium sand, please. Just because its calcium inside the sand can still impact on your animal, if you do have calci sand try this. Drop a tiny bit of water into the sand, see how it clumps. imagine that in your gecko's body. Dont get me wrong some people have been succesful with sand but, do you really want to risk it ? Just use paper towel, you can seriously save a life and money.

  • you use a light bulb for day time hours and then a red bulb or heat wave at night(they cant see red light) ... lightbulbs are fine aslong as they hav hides... learned.

  • I have some questions to ask .can u help me. It would mean alot.

  • You have some nice leos. I have a yellow murfy named Dude. And I have a ?.Do you ever look at your leos and there nose looks a little crusty around the eges with like skin that he hasen't shed?If you know how to get it out pleeeeeeese tell me . i love my little 1 year old.;)

  • Yes, that is common. Put a moist hide in with him and it will go away. Any more questions feel free to ask.

  • Not a problem!

  • where did u get ur hide?

  • Petsmart, they discontinued it about a year ago.

  • my gecko is almost like yours.same size too

  • Cool

  • for one, your geckos arent sunglow and secondly your female is too small.

  • your geckos arent sunglows theyre super hypo tangerines nice video by the way

  • I'm well aware. If you watch update videos of mine you'll see that I say that. Thanks though

  • nice leos check my vids

  • the male is an awesome color. i really like it!

I might get a leopard gecko soon. this vid is the thing that made me want one. :)

    anyways, goodluck with your geckos.

  • Isn't he amazing?! Well I am glad I could help with your decision, and thank you very much.

  • they are pretty!

  • Thanks!

  • what do u use 2 heat the tank

  • I use a 75 watt heat bulb. You can pick them up at any pet store.

  • i heard that wood chips are worse some how

  • They can be if they are small enough to be ingested, but mine aren't. And my Leopards spit the chips out of they get into their mouths. But I have since put them onto paper towels because it is easier to clean.

  • what degrees is it in ur tank on ur thermonitor

  • At night it is 72, during the day it stays about 90.

  • u shudn't have let ur female breed cos she is way too skinny for laying eggs properly and safely

  • Well she's popped out 7 of them an 5 hatched so suck on that.

  • i had 3 leopard geckos but one of theme died becuze he wasint eating. his name was geeko i now have two leopard geckos. the other two are girls but not pregnet. one is named spot and the other is lucey. i also have one bearded dragon 7 birds 2 dogs and two cats. lucey is looking at me and its so cute whene she does. and my other geckos arnt eating eather how do i make theme eat?

  • You'll have to force feed them until they start accepting again. Check out turtleman221, he knows more about that than I do.

  • were are the hides in that thing u got them in tooo small stup being cheap

  • I took the hides out for the video and they are in a 20 gallon long tank, that is plenty of room for two leopard geckos thank you very much.

  • the male is a carrot tail

  • the male isnt a sunglow...

  • I'm aware of that now, thanks.

  • subtrate=bad. id use paper towels, or calci-sand. since their full grown. :)

  • thanks for the recommendation, but they're just fine the way they are.

  • dont use sand cause of inpaction

  • Yeah, exactly.

  • out of 5 years with leopard gecko never gpt impaction yall go ahead and be a folower and listen to ightyits

  • That male is big! Good work! And also congratulations to ur female on the pregnancy! Make an update on the babies!

  • Yeah he is. Thanks! Turns out she wasn't pregnant after all, but they recently mated so I'm hoping for some babies this time around.

  • pragnent ? in december?

  • yup, she sure is. I was confused as well, but she's got two eggs in her

  • with the right temperatures as in spring or summer breeding season can be year round

  • yeah, that's true

  • Thank you soooo much,adub013!
