well thats a difficult questions cause its a ongoing maintence issue. you have to keep all seals fresh, and always keep a check on fluids.

it does ok with the 29.5 fat/skinny combo but i think the 31's would be to much for the little motor, with the work i have. now if you get the biggest gear reduction you'll be able to turn them fairly easy. that GR is a 35% reduction the one i have is only a 14% reduction.

yeah it sounded ok in person but to tell you the truth the best sounding muffler i have had on there was a fo-4 tractor muffler. no packing nothing but straight through

the snorkel i built myself out of abs pipe from lowes and used rubber couplings for connections. the muffler in this vid was a 12" auto glasspack i got it from a muffler shop in town and had them weld it up for me. i think all in all it was about 50 bucks total for the muffler and welding. the cost on the snorkel can vary from 30 to 100. depending on how many couplings and pipes you run.

how long does it take to rebuild the foreman? i got a 1998 with 18000 kilometers on it and i'm in need of a rebuild

that depends on if just a top end or also a bottom end and how much head work. if its just the top end with min head work it can be done in quickly all depending on who is doing the boring and honing. i got lucky when doing mine and the guy was done in about a hour and a half so it only toke my one day to tare it down and replace piston and do a little head work. but if you got to do bottom end work then if will take longer due to so many parts and the need to be careful

its also part of the snorkle system, its all connected. at that time the bike had a custom no airbox snorkel design which "y'd" off the carb, on the bike looks the same up top but i have the airbox back on and have an extra hole cut into the airbox for a true dual intake

hey im thinking of buyin a 99 like yours but green and it needs a new clutch cause its startin to slip. so i was wondering how hard it was to install the upgraded clutch kit? i have done many on dirt bikes but im gettin into quads now. please reply it will be a big help

since you got to replace the clutch plates due to slippage then it will be almost a breeze to install the clutch kit, but a little info i'm not sure on which kit you're getting but most kits for these quads are just stiffer cent. clutch springs not better clutch plates, but i'm not up on all the kits available. but hardest part about putting in the springs is putting them on. they're so stiff you almost need two people but holding your mouth right and a pair of pliers and a flat head

you must have thumb control and it helps that the honda has such a open front diff which helps.  and for fitment of the tires i had the HL 2" lift along with 2" spring spacers and also had/have no bottom fenders so just about anything would fit

it all depends, mainly depends on if anything additional as been done to the bike to make the air to fuel ratio change.

if you have a aftermarket airfilter and or aftermarket pipe then you would need to change the jets.

if the bike is running lean or a little lean then adding a bigger jet would help.

there are two types of differences in air to fuel ratios and that is "lean" and "rich"

"lean" means to much air and "rich" means to much fuel.
