I use HDMI cable to play Modern Warfare 2 on my playstation 3 on my SONY television.

I don't have those red, white and yellow cables, is there any way for me to record?

I have heard HDMI is the best quality mode to play games on PS3 and I also play with 1080i.

My computer is Sony VAIO, it is 2.67 gHz, I think it could take 1080i videos, could it?

I am planning to buy HD PVR to record my MW2 gameplay, what should I do? Do I need good editing programs for good quality or to convert video or sth. ?

@Misclickable You can only play with an HDMI on an xbox after you split the comonent Hauppauge cable with a converter.. PS3 has copyright issues with the HDMI cable about recording Blu Ray movies or something so you need to use the component cables to play with on the tv. The hauppauge hd pvr comes with optical out cables only so you can purchase some standard PS3 cables for about $20 anywhere but dont let that stop you because it's still okay ;)

@TheSniperVirus lol sup jordan... ur right about that but the intensity pro requires only two cables but you do need a high end PC (not laptop ) to install it into the PCIe slot. I biult my own PC so once I save up, I'm prob gonna get the intensity pro... the hauppage and the Intensity Pro, with their pros and cons, matchup to about the same ;)

That's more of a Cost-Effective Basic HD Recording method.

@pwnageskillz try setting your tv to 1080i instead of 1080p because the component cables only can go up to 1080i, you cant even tell the difference i think.

This is really annoying me someone please help! since i got my hdpvr over 2 weeks ago it hasnt worked after trying everyday to get it to work. Whenever i open tme it says "Your device is being used by another application. Close anything trying to use the device and then start again. It ill exit" or some shit. powering on and off doesnt work from plug or device. Its really annoying me now. ive uninstalled and redownloaded many times but it still does the same thing! someone please help!
