I remember listening to the radio traffic just before the mayday call was put out...I was at station 1 Eng 1 N.Chas. I was a N.Chas FF at the time, known as "Doc".What an eerie feeling watching the smoke rise from Chas that day ( I still have the cell phone pics of the plume) ready to go as soon as we were given the go ahead.....
