I noticed because he had something in his ear but in one ear instead of 2(like you would with Ear Plugs). I know it is off topic but the lesson is is to wear earplugs and if not in two ears then at least 1.

@diablo9333 oh ya i definatly mean the appetite era days haha, but in the UYI days they didnt equal guitars very well. especially with gilby, you could barely hear the rhytm guitar. and usually at big concerts they use the earbuds as like a moniter. to hear the other instruments

I think he wears ear plugs because he cant hear period.I went to concerts recently,not GnR I wish!But anyways i hate concert these days they are not the way they used to be.I Did go to the GnR 1992 with metallica and faith no more opened the show in houston tx,man i couldnt eve hear myself talking to my dad next to me.Now these concerts are so commercial like.concerts even take place on weedays nowadays.Back then it was like weekends only and you were going to have a lifetimme experience.
