Great video and stereo setup! Looking to do the same with my 50cc scooter. I plan to hide the speakers in the fairing with a mesh covering them and a 100 watt amplifier. Mobile phone will provide the sounds.
Damn hatred on here. To everyone their own taste. Coo man, looks good and sounds good. People seem to like no change. Not only Harley's look and sound good with a system. I like it.
I wont say much, its a fucking sportbike, buy a harley! First and foremost sound or music is a distraction 100000times over! Headshake because its on a kawi.....
Good vid and good placement on your bike. It looked really good and low profiled. I've installed 2 speakers in the back and in the process of installing 4 tweeters in the front.
@deepdiver1986 Not this one. I did work on one on the last 2003 SV650 I owned. I'm looking to getting a literbike and putting another bubble maker on it.
how did you exactly do that? please provide me with the easiest and cheapest way. i was thinking a bubble toy and velcoring it but idk how that would run by itself without me pressing on a button
@lilhemroid They're waterproof marine speakers in PIAA housings. It also includes the amp that's sized just right for the speakers. Yeah, they're expensive, but they're the most powerful / loud speakers for the compact flat size.
@karkapariah I sold the bike with the speakers on it. The guy butchered the speakers by yanking on it and damaging the wire leads. Now it totally doesn't work at all. I know, it's lame.
Yo thx so much man im ninteen adn just got 2009 Yamaha YZF-R1 my first one and i was trying to see if u could actually buy speakers for ur motorcycle looks like u can what company sell it can u tell me plz and thx u??
@kylehobbs93 They're okay for 4" speakers. If you want it louder, you'll have to go with larger diameters and a subwoofer. But then that would require a much larger amp. Anyways, they do the job.
@xninjazx6r its just safer then to wearing headphones. i dont even ride as of yet so i dont know how much of a difference there is. im just keeping my options open and looking around. but the guy in this vid has this setup of pretty nice if he didn't have them playing you wouldn't know he even has them.
Wow, you kept that in EXTREMELY good condition bro-ski.
At least, from what I can tell...It's such a cool freakin' bike.
So, you paid about 300 bucks for those speakers? I was looking on the UNiQ Cycle's website and it goes for around 300. I might get them, they look pretty cool...And sound awesome. :D
Nice job bro. Neveer would have thought about hooking it up to the stop light. Question, what kinf of amp is that and where can I purchase a similar one. Mouting pioneer speakers on my zx6r but want to find a good amp. Any suggestions? Feed back would be much appriciated. Thanks.
@edgars636 The kit from UniqCycle comes with a mini 200watt amp that's about the size of two cigarette packs. The small size is what you're really paying for. If you can find a miniature one like that elsewhere, I'd definitely like to know!
Did you use your own housings, or did you use the ones supplied with the speakers? I've checked the website and they only have them in chrome. Also what mp3 player is that? Thanks!

thrillseeker901 - No, mounting the speakers on the side of the bike doesn't make sense. You won't be able to hear the speakers as much if you have the sound directed away from you.
danielster - Hey dude! Long time no see. How's that Hyosung doing? You're one of the few people I know what owns one of those bikes. Good to see you again.

DJCipster4BREAKS - Oh, that freeway night clip? That was some Russian techno called Hey DJ!!!. There's a girl that says, Hey DJ a-bai-krai, repetitively about 30+ times. At least I think it's Russian. That's not your music, is it?!?
Love it! But I'd be paranoid about vandalism/security even more. I listen to music on my bluetooth helmet when i ride, so I might try this idea and add a megaphone to shout at wrong-doers! LOL ♬ ♩ ♭ ♪
munkeeboi83 - I've been riding it like this for about 3 weeks, and it's all good. The alternator works quite well, and produces more than enough power. I don't run the speakers off while the bike is off, as that will definitely drain the battery. The amp is a dedicated mini amp for the stereo setup.
Dude, I just hope you don't get pulled over by an asshat cop. Just keep the noise below the 30' range? But other than that I'm impressed when you showed me at Ward.
zeocen - The bubble machine was a long extended project back in the early days when I had the Yamaha R1 bike. It was a custom job that was activated by a left hand throttle. I'm building another one for the next bike I get when i move up to California in a few months.

I wasn't going to record it, but way I installed it allowed me to fit in in that small area. I had this speaker kit for 7 months, and I couldn't figure out how to easily make an aluminum bracket. Anyways, the zip ties ended up being much stronger and was better at making the mount very rigid.
lol i dont have a chopper hahah, i have a SV650S hahah, were did you get them from, because i will have to do the same thing you did because i have no room just like you. did you get them from online?
ChopperMan49 - I've owned a couple SV650s (the curvy one, not the angular one). There's definitely room to rig up speakers. I know that bike has way more room under the rear seat too. I got the speakers from UniqCycle. Google them, and you'll find it. You can also try eBay.
ChopperMan49 - If you're riding a chopper, you'd be able to rig up a set of speakers with twice the power, since you have more space. I had some serious space limitations, so I had to go with these low-profile compact ones. I'm sure if you had 400 Watt speakers, you'd definitely turn heads.
This is the coolest bike mod!! You are a tinkering genious!!! One of these days you are going to invent something, and it will make you mega-millions!!

Is there anything you can't do with velcro or zip ties? Very cleaver set up. Now I need to get a bike like yours to go with it!

Now you need to wire in a mic to yell at people via your speakers.

IamKrAzE - You know what? That would work really well. I have to wire in a switch, so that I could heckle other drivers and cops (not). hehehehe
