  • Musicians like him should not be overexposed either, because the world quickly pulls away the meaning of music with worthless pride and frivolous attitudes, measuring up to only the attention.

  • i am really floored by this guy's talents!

  • i absolutly think this is one of the best tunes i have ever heard.

  • Love it

  • A sudden stop (pause)

    Gets me every time !

  • I don't know how people dislike it :/ There is nothing to dislike. It's either amazing or nothing. Nothing doesn't deserve a dislike :|

Half the views are mine :) x

  • I rather exepted Taylor guitar in his hands :P Great soong!

  • Is it just me or he look really stoned haha ???

  • finally candyrat bought an HD camara

  • Nice stuff very Bernard Fanning type voice!

  • LIke this a lot!

  • LIke this alot!

  • Dude

    that was beautiful

  • What brand is his guitar??

  • @twinsering That is a Larrivee J-10 Jumbo Acoustic.

  • Any idea on the tuning?

  • Comment removed

  • @BJOlson C#sus4 tuning (C# G# C# F# G# C#)

  • "one track mind" great name for CD. shit that was out loud wasnt it.....crap...Candyrat rules

  • I mean, this record label Candyrat only recruits the best of the best. All their artists are gods of music! I just found this guy and I love his music; so nice to chill and have a moment of peace.

  • Your ripping of andy mckee with the drum sounds with the strings but good singing.

  • @Jump2893 I thought that was a pretty commonly known technique... i mean i know eric clapton did it on some of his songs

  • @Jump2893 If you spend some time to listen more to other guitarists, you'll find that a lot of people "rip-off" of Andy McKee that technique, even before we know of Andy McKee.

  • @Jump2893

is there really something like "ripping off someone" in music? :-) not to be offensive, it's just, the styles repeat themselves in some genres and it's the personal mixtures you make that . but i agree to the singing part - he's got his voice very well trained!

  • @Jump2893

This style incorporates using the strings and body as a percussive instrument. I play like this a lot. It helps me keep beat better and adds a little something extra. It isn't exactly a rare thing to hear, especially with people who play without picks.

  • the only reason mtv dont play him, is because mtv dont deserve him :)

  • instant panty dropper

  • This sounds so rich. those mics and the acoustics of that room are like heaven!

  • This is really beatuiful, but it's a bit too long for me.

  • Can someone please help me to figure out what he is singing at the start of the second verse?

  • very nice voice and playing ....... good luck

  • I WANT THAT SHIRT

  • Only a Candyrat artist could make sex sound this beautiful. God knows it sounds ugly when I do it...

  • Wow... what a voice. Why i don´t have such a sounding )= =)

  • Damn, that's a good voice.

  • Great Justin, really good :) Bri

  • Damn. Love this guy. He makes the "artists" in mainstream music look so bad..lol

  • @weebok4412 So true. It's people like this that put people like Lady Gaga and the like to shame. 1 man and a guitar beats 10 producers and millions of $ in equipment to make someone sound half decent.

  • i think its some sort of of drop c sharp tuning or not?

  • @Tetragrammaton8TV

    Good call :)

C#sus4 tuning to be exact. It's like DADGAD but down 1/2 step.

  • beautifully played.... what style of guitaring is this?? is the guitar on standard tuning... thanks..

  • Nice harmonics.

  • This is the perfect example of music that has character furthermore soul unlike the stuff that is so commercialized today but the sad truth of it is that having the talent like this isn't on the same level as pop and rap on marketability as far as big corporations are concerned at least.

Absolutely beautiful song though loved the guitar work and the vocals were fantastic.

  • Any idea on the Tuning???

  • @BJOlson Drop D

  • awesome awesome fingerstyle powers goin on here!!

  • disgustingly good!

  • Just beautiful.

  • spot on brother

  • Excellent entertainer. Hopefullly he has gigs where he performs on stage. There are few artists on YouTube that I have found who compare favorably to my granddaughter's Absu Road. Justin is one of them.

  • This is where I'm looking for on youtube!

  • Fantastic! Brilliant song and great voice. I agree with @MegaShitler (cool name lol) - I wish MTV would play more of this kind of talent!

  • @indipete hehe thanks man...im glad someone likes my name...it ment to be thoughtprovoking ya know..:)

  • @MegaShitler Hey no probs! Nice to meet someone on here! So why thought provoking?

  • @indipete wow...good question u got there...well...how to explain...

i like to give peeps something to think of...its probably easier to remember than "glen56GsW" or some shit like that because it seems to pop right out...i mean,go down the list as u read and chech the names...fucking bullshit...

and one for my personal interest...i like to stay unique and be remembered in some certain ways as u see...and it worked!

  • @MegaShitler Yeah good call, why the hell not! I'm not happy with my name really, but hey ho, I don't comment that much! I must say though, that it's nice to actually converse with someone that has a grasp of English for a change! I get so pissed off with all the l33t kidz on here lol

  • honestly Grade a x 10 my friend it really really good. good song composure and flow

  • Love the sound of it - featuring it on the site this afternoon.

  • you r really good=-D i can play guitar but not that good.lol.

  • Such a simple yet beautiful song. I glad I found Candy Rat. Such great talented musicians!

  • great stuff

  • He makes me believe that still has a great musicians today!

Not all this bullshit that plays in radios or MTV!

    Amazing song!!

  • hey dude

please, can you bring me the lyrics of this song

  • Amazing,wonderful!

  • Beautiful song ...

and a wonderful place you are sitting there -- where is this?

  • @stillsmartms

    Candyrat's studio.

  • Don't generally purchase CD's anymore as I prefer to download individual songs... Am purchashing yours in full having listened to several of your recordings. You are gifted in your ability to convey your feelings/thoughts. Wish you the best and will continue to check out whats new.

  • yeaahh he plays a Larrivee!

man, he has a brilliant voice, great and original guitar playing and great songwriting ability. This is real musicianship, unlike most of what's popular. I hope everyone who listens to this buys the CD in support of great music, and that goes for all the talented artists on this label

  • where can i find this song's tabs?

  • I think I've seen at least a hundred of these guys at open stages. Very average... sorry. Very surprised he's on the CandyRat label. Hmm?

  • This guy uses some pretty nice sounding guitars,i am a big fan of Larrivees as well, if only i hadnt spent money on a Cole Clark already, damn but the Cole Clarks are good too generally but both guitars have different personalities to each other.

  • Man I love this song!! This is my only favorite on my page.

  • This is really excellent. Your lyric expresses how I feel about my own bride :)

  • great stuff

  • anyone can write the lyrics? :D please, this man is good:D

  • anyone know what model of larrivee that is?

  • beautiful <3

  • such a beautiful song, and a job well done. I wish I had such a great voice, and could play that good. Keep up the GREAT work. :)

  • anybody know if this is in standard tuning?? can't tell...

  • I'm pretty sure it isn't.. i really want to learn this on guitar, but i can't seem to find any tabs or figure out the tuning.. :/

  • Try some different open tunings. See when he is only holding like one string or two and it sounds like an awesome chord? that's open tuning. Try DADGAD. That's common on candyrat.

  • drop d is my guess.

  • howcome these shitheads of MTV n such dont play such like him ,McKee,Don Ross ect guys instead of all the other rihanna-bullshit-like crap??

  • MTV is mainstream television. Hence MTV. Think about it, they used to do all the bands that were on the spot in their own decades. Hell if banging on a trash can became popular 'music'. They'd probably sponsor some crap like that. Basically it's a channel for musical lemmings. I wish there was a channel that had music like this, but easier wished for than done. It's all about ratings, not about originality or creativity.

  • @HikoruTheBrokenBlade yeah...that´s how the world turns...and the sad thing that all these kids don´t give a damn about this kind of music, without even have tried to understand it...well...thank god for the good old youtube!! :)

  • @HikoruTheBrokenBlade For a while there, Fuse was a great channel, but it's become quite a bit more mtv-like, as sad as it is.

  • @MegaShitler yeah and lady gaga. ra ra ohSUCK MY BALLS! stupid.

  • @MegaShitler because they're not marketable... -_-' I hate the new music industry these days. back then, being talented made you hot. nowadays, being hot makes you talented and that's why the popular stuff these days suck

  • @ZeBigStrat yeah thats the dustclowd in this media, advertising and publicity bullshit

its like eyes full of shiny lights and all is blinking and you drownd your conciousness in this shit and it stops making any difference as long as all keeps on shining..

but in reality , there is so much more about it...and most people just dont get it..

everyone who reads this,i hope you get this one

    thats how i see it..

  • @MegaShitler the play that rihanna bullshit because she's hot........ which is weird, because she's totally NOT! =P

but this music is more beautiful than any person could be! =D

  • @MegaShitler

That would be because he doesn't promote sexual frivolity, heavy alcohol consumption or frequent drug abuse. He captures the beauty of life, apparently that doesn't sell records.

  • @DJLennoxism isnt this song about sex though?

  • @ZanNNNNG even if it is...still,its not about some LA club orgy downtown wich ends up in the alleys with white stuff drippin out of the nose...

  • @DJLennoxism hmmm...very interestening point of view...i didnt thought of it that way...i like the way you think man...very thought provoking ;)

  • @MegaShitler I could not agree more I so don't understand why they don't play some of CandyRat Records artists. =) They are way better !!!

  • @MegaShitler I think because most people A) can't appreciate more than a simple 3 tone melodies with very straightforward beats without bragging about BS B) don't ever crawl of the mainstream of pop BS that they get fed with by MTV and likes... They just go with the masses...

  • @dante4d u got that damn right...i also think, that the people, they understand the opposite meaning of "go wih the flow"...in short term - they understand shit!

  • @MegaShitler cuase these guys are talented ? lol :P

  • @sommervilleTRS117 also...

  • @MegaShitler they shouldn't be played on MTV genuine musicians should not be in flashy teenage media. they should be admired by fans of genuine music

  • @BobbyxRevolution great words

  • @BobbyxRevolution true word!

  • @BobbyxRevolution whats the one thing you will never find on MTV (music television)? answer..music

  • @BobbyxRevolution YES. Thank you! Perfectly stated.

  • @MegaShitler because they hate music there!

  • @gableman32 i would have said "they know shit about what is music and how it can tell more than words and they promote that"

but yeah...we mean the same thing

  • Because MTV doesn't do music, they do soft-porn xD

  • @Ichizarou good one..but thats not all they do...they also do shit ya know..

    yeah...its fuckd up

  • @MegaShitler

familiar with sell-outs and cheapskates. You wouldn't need the television to find talent or good people...

  • @JTdavy hmm...interestening thought of you...i guess u r damn right...

  • @MegaShitler Because they sell crap using bums and tits.

  • @MegaShitler Most likely because they own the majority of the music industry, anybody that declares that rihanna kinda crap is true skill and musical talent should be shot in the foot. its songs like these that have real meaning, rather than 'i slapped a bitch, i got money, ghetto'

  • @FredNeck100 damn...u got that right..

just forgot one aspect..put my gat in yo ass!!AK47 on the block bla bla bla..

    "dem gunz" dude!

you r just a punkass bitch without a gun...gotta have a gun to be someone...

who the fuck teached you survival anyway??

    insurance??my ass!

now thats a long therm life promising aspect....hehe..

  • @FredNeck100 lol..."i slapped a bitch, i got money, ghetto" That pretty much sums up music today...what's happened to the world...

  • @MegaShitler because they dont show off their asses and stuff...people like a bit of crap on their tv instead of quality...

  • @MegaShitler because MTV hates music.

  • Great job. I respect musicians who can play, sing and write their own song.

  • nice voice, and nice songs!

  • i didn't know there were people on candyrat who sang...

  • Great song! and great performance!

    Kyle

  • I'm absolutly blown away by all the new guys at Candyrat, this ones a keeper for sure, you sort of feel like the beauty of the song is demeaned by the idea of sex but its like as the song goes on you get that its not a deameaning act he's talking about, he's talking about love. Call me a sucker, but thats kind of beautiful on its own really. Great job.

  • great!!!! )

as always, you guys from rpoland all are very talent, thank you all

  • i've forgot

    BRAVO!

  • who is,maybe relative to james taylor?

  • Is he talking about his little baby? My English is not that good. Great song. It is really hard to be that good in all that skills (Singing fingerstyle playing songwrighting) Respect

  • I think it's larrivee ; )

  • Man, that Larry sounds nice

  • Very nice song. I like the progression. Keep up the great work.

  • Hey Justin, love your work man. Reminds me of David Wilcox. The song style and lyrics favor his work. Look him up man. You will love him. He had a big hit in the 80's called "The Eye of The Hurricane" Keep going man :>)

  • Nice work!

  • Really good....

  • ...marry me...

  • Beautiful sound, well done Justin.

  • i like the song. great voice and playing. wish the guitar was mixed a littler higher.

  • Niiiiiiice!!

  • great

  • son of james taylor?

  • It's always interesting how the most amazing singer/songwriters are never in the mainstream.

  • @EvanConover

    Completely agree.

  • I always forget that record labels, radio stations, and television always want trend, not talent.

  • It's wonderful that it doesn't need any other instruments while sounding totally complete.

  • nice voice

    nice skills

  • I really liked this song.
