  • i'm sorry but i miss drunken depressed chan.

  • Since I saw her live during this tour I can attest

    a) she does in fact have a head (contrary to this video which decapitates her)

    b) I adore her & her younger, rawer voice here is so moving (when you can hear it ) BUT she wasTHE most boring person live to watch-she had her hair down in her eyes, barely said anything to the crowd& eventually stopped stopping in between songs&just would finish a song, strum at random for a bit then go to the next tune.So I'm glad she's more comforatable now;^)

  • anyone know the chords / tabs for how to play fate of the human carbine ?

  • AMAZING!

  • excellent! i really like her era Dear Sir, WWTC and Moon Pix... kinda drunk punk serenade, rough, pure...

  • I like the riff better live. On the album, it sounds too clean.

  • Thanks for posting! Fate of the Human Carbine is one of my favorite Cat Power covers.

  • anyone know where i can download this song? cant find it anywhere

  • im not sure, but it is off of her album, what would the community think, if that helps.

  • Good song. Forgot what it was about though. Heroin is a bad drug. Let the bird fly. Don't keep the bird caged in your environment. If the bird wants to stay, the bird will stay by its own choice.

  • it's on the intro to black tar heroin - an incredible documentary, really messed up

  • Yeah, I don't really listen to Catpower. My friends do though. The riff just caught my ear a little, I liked it.

  • @friskyfixedit thats how i found it

  • i came across cat power a few years ago.. i forget exactly how though. anyway, like so most of the music i listen to, it was produced in the nineties. it seems music is running out of ideas, and new artists need some crazy method of approach. anyway, i love chan's older music because it seems really easy to replicate, and of course it's low nature. mr. gallo and ice water. i understand why she had serious stage fright, and it's because she truly is an amature guitaritst. love her though

  • Do you have the rest of the show or any more early Cat Power videos? If so could you PLEEEAASSEE give me the links to download them. I would appreciate it so much!

  • the first time I heard this abum I was fifteen..I'm still lovig her

  • what year was this?

  • 1996 i reckon

  • what kind of guitar is she playing?

  • A Jaguar-type guitar, the tremelo and the headstock look different though.

  • It's a Fender Jaguar that belongs to Lee Renaldo of Sonic Youth.

  • jaguar

  • Renaldo or Foljahn?

  • Foljahn

  • I wish there were more old videos of her available.

  • trust me, two years ago there was about 50 videos of cat power all up, ever since the greatest gems like these have been surfacing.

  • this was when she was good

  • this is my favorite chan marshall era. she was so magic and organic.

    thanks!

  • She's like a female version of Jeff Buckley in this video. They even had identical shirts!
