my guitar has a floyd rose so i cant down tune it:( but i managed to scale down the tabs by 2 frets so it sounds exactly the same, up untill i run out of frets haha. but really this tutorial is spot on and i thank you for it!!! ive always wanted to learn how to play this song and thanks to you it was easy as hell!!

hey man i hate to be a hater but in the beginning your playing the part that is supposed to echo, you have to set the delay high enough so it actually sounds like your picking another time but its just the delay, its really hard to explain but i could show you what i meant if you just watched my vid. just helpin out a fellow musician :)

@josht617 your correct it was in drop d haha my guitar loses tone as i tune it down so i try to keep what songs i can in drop d and just play it from there, i was also just playing the song as i saw it in the tabs, it with a rythem guitarist playing along to the chorus that 5th fret holding while playing the other part actually isn't needed because the rhythem guitarist covers it. but thank you for the feedback i always appreciate constructive feedback

Hey man thanks alot for this video it helped out ALOT! I'm only 13 years old and my school recently had a talent contest and this lesson got me and my band 1ST PLACE!! Now people in my school looks at me like a guitar master. Only thing is I don't know where to get the type of amp that has a delay setting so a asked my buddy who let me use his during the performance if he knew but he got his for christmas so he didn't know either. Do you know if any store in Ohio sells them? Guitar center maybe?

@77reyland thats an ibanez r120...its a very cheap guitar but i put emgs in it so it sounds great lol. best way to get clean speed is to practice the right notes slow first. you will have a better ear for the mistakes when you know what something is suppose to sound like slow before played fast

@RockinghamRams short things? haha looks like you wrote a book to me!! lol jk i like questions bc i reply to everyone. if your going to buy a guitar id recommend one that actually sounds good. the guitar you see in this video is only 200 and you can prob get it on ebay for 100 so i recommend it (ibanez rg120). for me, switching between channels, you already have a setting for both created and you step on a button thats on a pedal and it swaps between the channels you created...

@RockinghamRams my comment was too long so i had to post 2 comments...be sure to read them both. as far as pedals...it really depends on the amp bc my amp already has a great clean tone and an awesome distortion built into it. most amps you get has a good clean tone, and you buy a good distortion pedal that you step on to go over the clean tone

@RockinghamRams i can help you with that, a guitar thats cheap and plays good is hard to come by, there are alot of shortcuts done on cheap guitars, and the other problem is that even if your playing well a cheap guitar will still sound cheap. a good option is an ibanez tube screamer behind a decent metal amp, personal preference 6505+, and yes if u get a distortion pedal u can click it on and off to go between clean and distortion. any more questions feel free to pm me

Hey ! Whenever i play the solo i get very bad noise from the string pulloffs and hammering . I usually adjust the volume knob to max , gain max , but main vol from the amp just little :S . I want to play it clean Help !!

@redoctober02 try turning that gain down...a lot lol. i keep my gain at about 6ish and use the volume knob to adjust how loud it is. also practice it slow so you dont have more than one note ringing at once
