They dont make Cadillac s like this anymore....now there all light weight and not heavy luxury cruiser cars. I love my 1998 STS....I'd get another one if I could. My second car I've owned.
i agree but the CTS isnt in any way shape or form what the Catera turned into. the Catera was basically an Opel Omega,a car own by GM but mostly released in Europe but brought here to entice a younger audience towards Cadillac. a CTS however is a totally different car, CTS=Cadillac Touring Coupe, no relations to the Catera
the CTS-V is the shit though. My buddy has one for his "daily driver" his "weekend ride" is a tuned Vette Z06 getting more then 650hp at the wheels... He's crazy.
This is like a dream and a commercial rolled into one, I do not find this offensive at all, nice caddy, thanks for doing your part in maintaining our car culture!
had an 84 Biarritz Convertable. It was a GREAT car because I never drove it.. The Eldo was disscontinued because it was not selling to GM's expectations. The Gangsta and Raper types wanted Escalades and Navagators so all the posers follow suite and that meant the days of the personal luxery coupe were over! Same with the Lincoln Mark 8.
the first mistake cadillac did was discontuning the Eldorado it had so much potential, if they only would have made it into a rear-wheel drive car (damn you GM, bring back the Eldorado!!!)
Yeah the interesting tidbit about the eldo is that ever since 1968 model they were all FWD. It was the most powerful front drive production coupe, ever. Now the montecarlo SS with the LS4 has 302 hp, so it takes the cake.
true I would still get the 1970 Eldo just because it had the biggest engine in history ever used in a production passenger car the 8.2L putting out approx 450hp and 500tq but now thats POWER!!! hahahaha
nice video mtflight, i got the same one same color. what video did u used to edit that. Btw, what's your regular coolant temp supposed to be ? is 196 - 218 F about rite ?
So your saying a Cadillac V Series isnt deserving? I own an El Dorado and i love it but the only horrid times for cadillac were in the late 70s early to late 80s. So far the 2008 CTS is the last great Cadillac lol.
Service history is probably the key to whether it is realiable or not. Some owners take care of issues when they are minor and don't let them get out of hand. Others don't. The most crucial item is that the car has not overheated (new radiator or new waterpump are clues. Most electronics issues can be diagnosed via the instrument panel by "pulling the codes" with some key combinations.
Very nice...music fits too, haha being that it's a Cadillac. I'm looking into getting one...they're really classy and they look really nice. Wish they came a stick shift though. Either way...nice car.
By the way...weird question, but I've never gotten an answer. Does the shift knob have a button behind it or does it not have one at all?
Cadillac needs to release another grand touring coupe...not quite as sporty as the XLR, but more of a comfortable cruiser. There are rumors of a CTS coupe...sounds nice.
nice car the one my dad has used to be that clean but in dark green

@mtflight screw the montecarlo ss. This thing is a pimp where the monte carlo is a nascar enthusiast who drives an underpowered modern car

Na no key combo, just hold down the passenger climate control warmer and the off button for a few seconds and the diagnostics will show on the dash.

if it was my idea.. i'd like to use the sixteen concept design for much of the new cadillacs... it looked awesome :)

VooDooXII 4 years ago
Thanks. Regarding your question: on the Eldo, it always had a button (1992-2002). On the Seville from 98 up there's no button.
The only stick shift available is a CTS.

What was used to mount the camera steady in the backseat? I drove a last gen Eldo and owned an 84 biarritz
BillSchwenke 5 years ago
it was a tripod and it was not still for long, hence the shot cut out.
for the moving shots where u can see the road it is a clip with a mounting screw for camera.
