Nice gameplay. I as well remember U.N. Squadron. I never got far in this game. But I like how you defeated the final boss when you had no health left. I'm hoping that this game gets a release on Wii Virtual Console.

This game is easy on Arcade mode compared to Gradius or R-type, but still a GREAT game and anime. The Mega Crush to me is too cheap so I never use it...but what I find most interesting about this particular game is alot of the aircraft during the making of this game were still under development such as the Yf-23 Black Widow and V-22 Osrprey (Although the Osprey has propellers instead of jets). The Arcade version of this game is pretty fun too, try to find the Arcade Emulator called MAME.
If you look at all the bosses a lot of them are very peculiar. For example, you have an aircraft carrier that drives around on the desert. Then there's the submarine that uses a flame thrower and an entire stage where fast jets fly into a cave. Of course they weren't funny at the time because I was too busy avoiding death.
I got hit on purpose to create drama during the final fight with the airplane. Didn't you see me practically run into the wall with the health? Suspense is the name of the game.

at 1:07 you can drop napalm inside (as long as that bottom panal is still there) it causes alotta damage....

if u only uncover the top part of the week spot, u can then drop mega crush. and the rest just napalms.

Actually, I've found it really easy to beat the Project4 Boss using Gunpod and Mega Crush. Though iWas playing Normal Mode just right now... >.>

What an acrobatic play!
I'll bet this game is still one of the most difficult
STG. Today's vertical scroll STG are lots of barrage,
but slower,so more evadable than former horizontal one's. Anyway, happy to watch your vids.
