ok this is the story i see every time i hear this song.

Epic warrior dodging and slashing wildly, killing everyone in his path, leading his men, following orders to the end. He meets a foe with a might greater than his and he is taken prisoner. After going through torture, he snaps and totally breaks out and kills people with anything he can find. He makes his way to the end of the cliff he was fighting on and he jumps off straight into a horde of foes.

Many bands leave their lyrics open to personal interpretation so their fans may take away their own lessons and inspiration from it. You may see this song as being about a "holy" war. Others may see military. My family has a long history of military service, and with that heritage I find it very easy to read aspects of war and military service into these lyrics.

@NovaN0va Um.......very. Considering it took a Roman legion (lots of trained soilders) to move the rock....and considering the rock wasn't just on the ground, it was pushed into a deep trench. So yeah, that would be extremely hard......actually, fairly impossible. Also, it was guarded by soilders..so the unarmed, untrained disciples would have to fight well trained, and well armed, Roman soilders...and then push a huge boulder out of a trench.....and then fight off reinforcements. Very tough.
