I loved the first part, but the second part was boring and dragged along. When I saw the Bethesda Terrace I immediately fell in love with it and had to visit there myself. It has since gone on to be the most photographed location on my many trips into Manhattan. If I believed in heaven it would look like the Bethesda Terrace.

I seen this in theater where I live.

It was absolutely amazing!

There was some controversy about the genitilia scene and the general theme of it, also given that there wasn't an age limit (im 15), but really it was done very tastefully. It wasn't afraid to push boundarys but that wasn't what you were thinking about when watching the play. It was just so brilliant!

Definitely on top of my desert island list along with Torch Song Trilogy, Parting Glances, The Wedding Banquet and Zero Patience, all of which deeply resonate with me each time I watch them.

Apparently (I haven't read or seen it yet) the play is slightly different but everything about the series is perfect -- the characters, the story, the cast, etc.

I love it, I can also see my Dad and some of my buddies thinking it was terrible if they watched it. To like AIA you must be interested in a few things:

American History, complexities of American Politics, The AIDS epidemic, Al Pacino in tyrant mode, religion, law and justice, homosexuality. Oh and when something crazy happens like an Angel comes and talks to a character you gotta' think 'Oh man thats crazilly awesome' rather than 'How stupid!'
