  • 2:06 Tears... everywhere...

  • The movie had better visuals, thanks largely to being able to pan/zoom the camera, but the stage play's version of the music is far more powerful.

  • i hate this part of the movie cause it sad whem mufasa died and simba saw him fall over the cliff

  • This song really brings back the painful memories of seeing Mufasa dying. I always hated how the stampede seems to subside right after he was killed. I always think "what if he held on for just a few minutes longer"? :(

  • holy crap!I had chills, espically at the part when scar killed mufasa!

  • Hans Zimmer should think about doing the new music for the Godzilla remake. =D who agrees?

  • this song just gave me chills oh my goodness

  • This piece is such a moving masterpiece. It takes away my breath when I hear it. Every single time

  • dada dumdumduM! dadada dumdumdum! dadada DuM! dumD DADADADUM! da da da dum! xD

  • the strings between 1:42 and 1:44 just get me every time - LOVE this piece of music - a masterpiece in its own right :)

  • its been like 7 years since i saw this, i was 5, i still remember this scene :)

  • 1:35 - chills until the end

  • I have a question to anyone who has seen the Stampede scene on Broadway.

How did they pull off the fact that they were on-coming wildebeasts? I always imagined they had people in the costumes running across the stage and back around the stage to make it appear like there were infinite amounts.

  • @MikeMsDaughter11

It's hard to explain. they had like a continuous rolling screen with a bunch of different sized wildebeests. it actually looks really convincing.

  • Saw that recently in Montreal, the show was nicely done, including that part.

  • I saw this on Broadway 3 years ago and I still remember how amazing it was!

  • Best parts (IMO): The choral glissandi, the SFZs going out of the 3/4, and the switch to 6/4 near the end.

  • Amazing music. We danced to this in one of our High school shows and it was by far the most emotional and intense dance I've ever done.
