@scvs2 Prices varied a lot. I seem to remember retail was anywhere from $32k to as high as $40k. There were only 1,000 sold in the U.S., so dealers initially marked them up a lot because there was such limited supply. I think invoice on this was $30, but it could have been a bit lower.

no do not pick an accord befor this thing! civics have it all gas mileage torque nice and roomy for a four cylinder and the mugen is rare as balls and will give you that kick in a ass that accord wont provide i guess its all about what your into though i almost bought one of these from a dealer here but just decided for the civic si instead almost equaly as good

Haha, still only has 197 bhp for 30k. I could get a 350z, Mustang GT(with a few grand to spare), A new WRX which does 0-60 in 4.8 secs and a few grand to spare. This car just looks bad ass but sorry, this car is NOT worth the money. Everything else for thousands less whips its ass. Don't know why Honda doesn't offer a factory turbo for it like the RDX. With a turbo, it could actually be worth it's price and keep up with the competition when it comes to performance.

Did they even do anything with the engine? It looks like they just lowered it, put in a new exhaust and dressed it up with a body kit. This doesn't even resemble the Japanese RR. Looks like a ripoff to me. This model is going for around 30k which for a bit more will buy you a brand new 370Z which is much faster.

The only differnce the Mugen has compared to the regular SI is that it has an adjustable spoiler, 18 inch alum rims, the side body kit, cat back exhaust, and the lower stiffer springs and suspention tuneup. It def will handle better and also looks really cool too. It also cost thirty grand to have one. The U.S. only came out with a thousand for purchase. Also they didnt do any engine mods to the SI Mugen so its nothing special, but very nice looking.
