@grahamtacon hey im a beginner wanting to learn how to play a guitar, so i bought a really cheap acoustic( classical i think) guitar from a company called CrescentDirect, and watching these videos made me notice something about my guitar; my guitar has 4 wounded strings and two naked ones. googling it and watching these vids show that theres only supposed to be three wounded ones. Did i get ripped off?
@xX1PC1Xx It sounds like you've got a steel string guitar there, with a wound third string. The 4th, 5th and 6th will be wound on all types of guitar. Unless there is an unusual set of strings that I haven't seen...
Thanks you sir for making a seemingly long and annoying task very simple : ) good work, i especially like that you cut all the BS and just showed the simple way of doing it all
I was having some trouble at both ends really this simplified the whole process. I've done hundreds of steel strings but never a nylon so it was a challenge at first. I do like to tuck the excess string at the bridge under the bottom side of the next string over. Also I use two wraps on the on the E A D strings at the bridge and Three wraps on the G B E.
Thank you!
