Played this today. In person it is a beast. That video audio quality does not do any justice for the sound. There are clips and crackles that are not present in playing the synth in person. I'll be honest and admit I'm a Moog fanboy, but I'm getting this before the Minitaur. (Minitaur only goes to middle C!) Bass only on that. This gets leads, bass, growls and rugged timbres from low low to high high pitches. And... it's heavy and solid. I was surprised at the value for $500.
@djthomaswhite Haha I think Moog and Dave Smith are gonna be crapping bricks after this. Don't get me wrong I've always wanted a Minimoog Voyager (xl) and the Polyevolver is beautiful, but the affordability of this just makes my head spin. I'm pre-ordering one next week.
@IAmBound completely different beasts though. and you can't really compare this to the polyevolver since that's a polyphonic synth and this is monophonic. As far as the Voyager goes, I see what you're saying. But I look at the voyager as a synth with much more growing room, and more capabilities. But yes the affordability is great, I plan on picking one up for sure
@OnlyOmari Yeah I get what you're saying, they are pretty different, but you have to admit that arturia really kind of stepped on Moogs toes with the MiniTaur. Even though the minibrute and minitaur sound different this probably took a big bite out of the would be minitaur sales.
@IAmBound agreed, so did the that new waldorf pulse 2, another analog monophonic synth at namm this year, both have really caught my eye, can't wait to try them out. I'm honestly not that interested in the minitaur lol
@IAmBound I thought the minibrute was coming out during summer, it's coming out in november? and I haven't seen a demo of the pulse 2 yet, but I love the blofeld, and the original pulse it pretty awesome! What would be really nice is a module version of the minibrute!
When did Jude Law become interested in hardware synths?

It's very nice to see Arturia release something analogue. Origin is superb, however a nice Minimoog type monosynth from them is huge!
