All my friends totally hate me for being a ROB player, since the only way they can beat me is by ganging up on me and kicking my ass so hard that I fly off the top of the screen, since ROB can recover from pretty much any other position.

I have to disagree with you. I think that Snake's is far better, although R.O.B's is amazing. I main R.O.B, but Snake's is better because if you can manage to drop a C4 in time to detonate it on you'r self, you can just use it over and over again, although I think that R.O.B's is moar reliable.
But the C4 gives damage. And when you get to much damage you will KO yourself lol.
So using it over and over again won't be very usefull.... And offcourse Snake is eadier to hit while he is using his Up B because he can't just pause to attack or the move ends.
I really need to learn to abuse his fair more. I depend on nair too much in those situations because it's fun and end up saving the opponent rather than killing them :<

It's called a Glide Toss. It works with any item. Here's how. You shoot the top, pick it back up, then you hold shield, do a forward roll, and immediately press A during the beginning of the roll to throw. (If you use the C-Stick I think you can toss it in other directions, but for the combo forward is best.) As you see from the video you can do another move before your opponent has recovered.

cpus sorta stink once they can't shield grab you with preposterous reflexes, but your ROB technical game is still very good. I'm an Olimar / G&W player trying to learn ROB myself and this video gave me plenty of good ideas. Nice job - you've got a 5/5 from me =)
Olimar and G&W are actually definitely my 2 hardest counters with R.O.B. - especially G&W. I'm going to make a post on SmashBoards eventually with my R.O.B. tips. In the meantime, getting used to R.O.B.'s bizarre air physics is the hardest part.
