My creative zen stone plus is DEAD.

It's totally dead. It doesn't turn on. No signal of life...

It's not recognized by the computer (i tried different cables). I've tried reset, turn on, hold vol+ plus the power button. nothing.

I've been around some troubleshooting forums and A LOT of people has the same problem!!! And it's kinda of unsolved problem.

so i am trying here to reach a bigger audience. hope anyone can help!

anyway... i suggest you... get an ipod.

@rrkawase - i have an iPod. transfering stuff to it via iTunes... is just fucking stupid. and it`s the only way to do it. so yeah, iPod`s are nice... but there are somethings about them that REALLY suck :/

@majin0buu - like the only way to control the new ipod shuffle is to buy ONLY original Apple headphones since they have controls on them. like the fact that you have to use itunes to transfer stuff on your ipod.

there are two possibilities:

1: there are no speakers on this player

2: he has the earbuds on the player, so you wouldn't hear the sound unless he has it up very far

I have one, but lost the program and the papers that came with my player....i tried to google the website but i only found some site that has an error when you try to download...umm there should be a direct site to get the program on the packaging if anyone can help me. When you're listening to your music press the middle button then go to options and press browse music.

There are two versions of the Creative Zen Stone Plus, one with and on without. For the one without you can get a speaker to plug it into, and the one with the speaker can be switched on or off via the Creative Zen.

you charge it with the USB cable (the one for adding media you know...?) ;)

You get a USB cable which allows you to charge through the computer (whilst also letting you put on your songs etc at the same time), unfortunately it doesn't come with a charger with a plug to go into mains electricity, but you can get some cheap plugs that let you - they work for other electronics aswell. I have one which I can use for my Zen and Motorola :)

It take about 4 seconds to respond when songs are plating. Anyone know how to fix it? battery life is dodgey too.

That's because of the processor speed, and there's nothing that you can do to reduce the lag besides pausing the song. I doubt that you would be roaming through the menus unless you were going to choose a different song or switch to something that will stop the song anyway, so this shouldn't be a big problem.

The Zen comes with a its own media transfer tool, like windows media...but Creative :)

It can let you scroll through all your media files, so theoretically yes... but it IS illegal.

You shoudln't use limewire. Come'on dude, if you like the artist enough, you'd pay them for their hard work.

omg i hate that clicking sound every time u press a button. it sounds like a bird pecking or something and drives me NUTSSSSS. You should've put a piece of cloth between the player and the table GEEEEZ!! and turn auto-focus off.
