guys im 15 , i always grouper fish but a majority of the time il hook one and they will go into rocks, how do i prevent?

@awesomeberri The trick to grouper is to get them away from the bottom. If they get into the rocks, you typically will lose them. So when they bite, get them up quick and don't let them go down! Good luck!

@awesomeberri Pull as high up as you can and immediately Reel, Reel, Reel! Sometimes I even try to walk backwards as I hook the fish to pull it away from it's hole.

All-though grouper are nice fish to eat I still don't think it'd right to kill every thing you catch. U should keep some release most.

@snipes265 Indeed - I was under the impression anyway that Grouper were protected in Florida.

@pauldh62 Grouper are limited year round depending on the grouper species. In addition, there is a closed season...just like most other fished or hunted species.
