The one thing I've always been afraid of is death or serious injury from fire. This video gave me nightmares. Worst video info ever provided...The driver was severely burned and scarred tho his fire-suit did an awesome job of protecting him. Ironically, the worst part of his injury came when the clueless rescue workers laid the driver on his back. @ 1:35 you can see the driver struggling as plastic drips on his face. The driver's successful lawsuit against the event holders changed safety regulations and how rescue workers are trained.

its sad to say but 50 years ago they would both be dead. but a fire suppression system and the nomex suit saved both of the drivers life. Its amazing to see the drivers helmet is burnt and melted but the color on his suit is still red. to think hitting a car then waking up being dragged out of a burning shell.
