@vintagegarbage Well actually, what I do, is cover yourself in duck tape sticky side out, and then once you're covered, you put duck tape on it sticky side down. That's usually best if you want to make duck tape cloth in the shape of the figure of something, but if you have an old shirt you are willing to sacrifice that works easy too, but you can't say it's made completely out of duck tape though, but you didn't say it was made completely out of duck tape. how about instead of newspaper you used that spray in expandy foam they sell at home depot, would make it pretty solid to work with, at least more so than newspaper would, just leave the ends open so when it expands it wont distort the body form. Just a thought. I would love to make one for my wife but she might wake up while im wrapping her with duct tape. :-)

@totalartsychik77 You can make garments from duct tape, but I wouldn't recommend it. Duct tape doesn't breathe, and it's very stiff. So, you would be immobile and therefor unable to breathe easily and sweaty and therefor dehydrated. Doesn't sound too fun to me.

@LyricsChannelish You definitely can't do this on your own. Once you get started, you can't really move, so you wouldn't be able to wrap around yourself.
@ashpear524 You should wear whatever undergarments you usually wear. The point is to make the dress form the shape that your body will be (ie probably wearing a bra) underneath the dresses/clothes you'll be making on the form. If you made the form while not wearing any bra, and then made a dress on that form, and then tried to wear a push-up bra with the dress, it wouldn't exactly fit the same, right?

@roskibo0 That's a good idea. My friend used this technique to make a life-sized Oscar statue and she was clever enough to think of using that foam to fill it in. Not the whole thing, I think, but the smaller little bits.
Yah. I did one late last night. And I will put in a hanger on top the middle. then will go to homo depo and get insulation fome to fill it in. so it can be solid. and some other vid said to paper mache it. to make it hard.
@wh2hashitaka We actually never finished ours and used them, cuz they sucked. I would suggest doing two layers of duct tape, packing them very full and stiff with newspaper and taping up the arm, neck and bottom holes with cardboard to keep them in shape. You can put a clothes hanger in it to hang it up or somehow get a stick up its butt and stand it up.

Nice idea. Y R ppl so offended? FAt = FAT. It is what it is. I was fat before too..(65 lbs later, notsomuch) and honestly..instead of taking offense..I lost weight..not natural to be that way and instead of getting all bent out of shape, be fat and OWN IT, or lose weight. It is easy to be a fat victim and hope that everyone else is "nice about it". The only mouth you can control is your own (talking and eating). Insensitive comment? Yes; however they can say what they want. Their vid.

@kanohane I don't believe I said that if I can do it anyone can. I said this, if you are fat, OWN it. It is YOUR life, YOUR body, YOUR cross/fat to bear. Ppl who aren't fat won't understand so no need to expect it. Self esteem is internal & no one can belittle you without your own consent. If your body image has that much control over your life, you deserve to be miserable. Ppl will say mean things. It is an unfortunate reality. Go to the doctor if diets don't work...I HAD a medical issue.
