Nice track man, really makes me miss my EMX which got stolen a while back. Maybe its time to buy another despite the high price tag. It was incredibly fun to make songs with it and the EMX is a surprisingly versatile little machine.
Finally I got my one last week. Didn't read the manual yet but I can already say:GREAT MACHINE.It works perfect with my midi setup and other sound devices.CHECK OUT THE TWO LATEST VIDEOS WITH MPC5000 ON MY ACCOUNT!!!
@gteather yeah man, go for it. I got one about 7 months ago. It's not as easy as it looks, believe me. I've just started to get the hang of it within the past few weeks. Don't let the difficulty of it turn you away, because it is a quality product, and once you figure out how to use the damn thing, you'll be creating quality stuff like this.
@volldegineorigional It is not hard to learn if you have previous experience with playing synths, or making music with various software, using midi keyboards, drum machines and such. I wouldn't recommend buying an EMX right out the gate without having experimented with/learnt to make electronic music in some other way. Its good to first learn with a MIDI synth and something like Ableton, instead of investing close to a thousand bucks in an EMX and not getting the full potential out of it.

Great stuff. I have 3 Electribes, but not this model. They allow you to create your own original sounds. This guy is phenominal. Wow. I can see These machines being very sort after in the future, as classics. Fantastic Demo. Well done. Probably, the best I've seen. LOL .
lol Tom Lee states that it has been discontinued, hence you cannot get it here in Canada. But I contacted them... and they contacted Korg Canada and said they had at least one left available for me by Special Order for 752 dollars so I said hell no. That's too much... Even shipping it from the US from ebay costs like 450.
tight, reminds me of the stuff i used to listen to on a pirated radio station while waiting for the hip, hop show to come on on sunday nights in Atlanta
I would like to congratulate you for this performance. I am thinking on buying EMX and I was wondering if can record and store the pattern changes as well as the filter changes. Is there a playback with what you have recorded?
I'm sure somebody else can explain this better, but here goes... It has a song mode which allows you to record all changes you make realtime. As far as i can tell, the songs are links to any number of patterns, where you first make the patterns and then record any change and/or movement in and between patterns, thus allowing for a potentially huge mix. I only just recently got mine, so still learning, but it's highly intuitive, so i recommend you go for it.
Ofc skill like that of Denkitribe doesnt come overnight, but yes, you'd be able to make just about any type of music you'd like with just an electribe. It is 1 of the most versatile tools for the modern music-creationist.
It is by far the closest you get to a single-item solution atm
Keep in mind you should also be looking at a specialised audiocard for you computer for the recording but this will be very cheap if you only need it to record the line signal of the electribe
This 1, the EMX-1, doesnt have sampling. Its red counterpart the ESX-1 have a smaller synth-section than this, but includes a decent sampling section as well.
All the sounds in this track is created within the box. So yes, it has synth sounds.
Both the EMX and ESX comes with a stack of drum-samples, paired with a real onboard synth. The EMX synth is bigger with more features and layers than the ESX, but the ESX has the sampling to compensate for this.
I have an electribe MX, i would like to know which is your arpeggiator selected, ionian, dorian, Mpentatonique ? it will make earning time i think you're changing tonality several times don't you and octave too !! thanks in advance for your precision and nice job again !!
Is the Electribe fairly easy to work with? I was thinking of getting that, the korg microkorg xl, korg kaossilator & kp3. And then Macbook with Logic Pro Studio to record the music I wish to make, I plan on getting an electric Violin, and plan on using my guitar with it all too try and make some hardcore trance and psygoa trance too :-P

you cant control the green light! you just can control the length of the song you want to make! just press "pattern" and go down to length! didnt you read the manual?!?!
how hard is it to get specific notes out of that ribbon controller? i'm starting to want one of these badly, pretty much deciding between it, mopho, and evolver. any thoughts on that would be nice too... and thanks for the videos!
