I think you're referring to Super Mario Bros 2: Yoshi's Island, where as this is actually the predecessor to that game - Yoshi's Island 2, if you will.

i think the first one was better. the music was less boring and repetitive and the animation was better. i mean look at wario. he has no other position than that one. It's also ever so frustrating to find out which baby to use. personally, i would have rather had only one baby and made more interesting levels acording to one baby. I think nintendo wanted to have more new and cool stuff so much that they forgot to focus on the basics of what made a game great. this is only my opinion
