I missed the retro-game shop when I was there in October!! There was a 3 story porn shop that was pretty fun though. Costumes downstairs, women's porn on the middle floor, guy's porn on the 3rd floor. very fun! :)
Hmm.. Akihabara isnt the safest of places for kids, especially at night.. lol for those who been there.. know about the certain stores opening at 9pm attracting strange older men >_> watch out for falling uh.. n/m see it for yourself^^
I think I heard Street Fighter lol Hadouken, not to come off perverted but i do notice that some of those clothes are from Hentais in that 7 floor store...
Starfires i have admit great job mate ive visited Akihabara quiet a few times and everytime i go i cant stop laughing because otaku's are like zombies they just stand and stir . bloody funny
Thanks, BBB. The otaku 'train boys' are indeed an interesting group, with some very strange tastes. The scary thing is, the more I go there, the more I understand them. It's something like the kind of things that would appeal to people who have spent far too long around computers- anime fantasy-like maid girls and even small dolls, for those who can no longer bring themselves to communicate with the real thing! Of course I'm not that far-gone, no, not me...!@@
Maki, thanks for the correction, I never actually went in there. Everyone else, glad you enjoyed it, believe me, I am addicted to that part of town (and not for the sex shops, I should add!)
Great capture of Akihabara! Love that part of Tokyo, spent several days there of my 3-weeks vacation several years back. Need to go there again sometime! XD

Posted on Oct 9th?!... We were in Japan in September 06 for ROBO-ONE 10. When you were in Akihabara, did you by chance visit Tsukumo - Robot Kingdom?

Amazing, it seems just as crowded as any large city but without annoying car noises.

Yes, you did! That's from the retro-games store, whih has things as obscure as Nintendo Virtual Boys and rare Game-and-Watches.
