The Wheels Brakes System is automatic when the landing gear is selected up. A dedicated hydraulic pressure line goes in pressure when the landing gear was retracted and the brakes are locked

the pilot doesn't hit the brakes. It is automatic.
The reason is to prevent any damage in Wheel Well Area (fuel and Hydraulic pipe)
