  • How did your polarizer cost ?

  • i dont know why anybody would buy an expensive fisheye, you could get one of these and a polish wife for the same price!

  • UV filters have 0 effect on improving image quality on digital cameras, infact cheap uv filters will lower the sharpness of the image and may introduce image artefacts.

    thanks for the sample pics!

  • opteka, not opteeeka

  • @ryanrejaei You need to get a converter ring for it. I had the same problem too. It's like a converter ring from 67 to 52 mm. It's less than 10 bucks.

  • @xaznacex yea i got one from amazon for like 5 bucks. Worked like a charm thanks dude

  • Hi whats the adapter that makes the color POP called? Thanks

  • @noahoconnor27 i think its called a polarizer mate but im not to sure

but plz clean your nose next time, its annoying :p

  • Hi did the adapter come with the fisheye

  • sorry but what is 'marco'?

  • nice, i like the video

  • haha that's what she said. Im probably going to buy this now, great video, thank you.

  • you only get the full effect with something smaller then a 35 mm

  • (op-tek-a)

  • Can you zoom in so you won't see a lot of black space

  • i dont really like how it has all the blackness in the backround to where it covers most of the screen. is this how the fisheye is or is it your movie maker. please respond back. Thanks

  • there called packing peanuts

  • i can use the Opteka Macro Fisheye with my canon rebel xt? i have 2 lens the 50mm and 18-55??

  • is it with macro..?

  • so i have a panasonic DMC-FZ35 which is a basic camera just for fun and i really dont know a lot about all the photographic termanology haha but the fisheye lens would still attach to my camera right?

  • vig is shocking

  • thats wat she said lolz

  • @DramaaV2 alright DUDE wasnt askin u. no need for the smart ass comment. bye

  • Your suppose to zoom it out

  • will this fit straight on the cam or does it attach to the kit lens?

  • @129productions ... Watch the video

  • is it autofocus?

  • should of just brought a samyang 8mm f 3.5 fisheye for 350 dollars off ebay. works with canons. Worth its money.

  • does the adapter ring come with the fisheye?

  • did you get that on opteka.com ???

  • Comment removed

  • probably the worst fisheye you can buy

  • so this will work for my stock lense that cam with my canon t3, its the same lense as yours,

  • @MxPMedia yup!

  • @AYOBONUS I just got a t3i will it work with the stock lens? there all 58mm so im guessing they will work

  • Does anyone know if this would fit a Casio EX - FH 25? Given that its still on sale, haha.

  • good review! i got one and was thoroughly disappointed...i shelled out for a canon mount fisheye and am glad of it...bottom line is, those adapters are cool but not for everybody

  • what resolution were ou shooting in, 4:3 or 16:9?

  • So sexy o.o

  • major vig

  • Hahaha, cool the Fender Stratocaster is made in MEXICO!! Viva Mexico!!!

  • best unboxing i've watched. thanks!

about your polarizer, did you say 58mm?

  • get an opteka 6.5 mm :p

  • I love you for making this video!

  • whats it like videoing with?

  • OP-TEK-A DAYUM MAN

  • will it work on a d5000?

  • there are reviews for the opteka baby death all over the place, idk what you are talking about...

  • where did you get the polarize lens.. and how much?

  • will it work with the canon t3i?

  • doyouknow if theres a possibility to have no black edge?

  • so many things wrong with this lens. First the lens inst even shaped like a fish eye, its $40 for a $1000 plus camera, also they tried to mix a macro with fish eye to save costs. If you get an amazing camera don't you think the lens should be just as high quality?

  • Get Optekas new 6,6mm f/3,5 fisheye wich is made for dslr's, you get now black circle

  • Will this go with a 450D with the standard 18-55 lens?

    Thanks for the review!

  • @antoniocneves

    yes, it will!

  • brilliant info, i am of to amazon byee :D

  • the fisheye with the black ring is simply a circular fisheye. ie it creates a circular image on the sensor, it works well when done properly like when on a full frame camera but can look very cheap and nasty on crop sensor cameras or with cheap adapters

  • Thanks fo the review, I just finished watching your video and I ordered mine, I paid 34€ ^^

  • do you have a flickr or tmblr account that you can share?

  • whats the colour screen called?

  • I think the ring on the end of it is to adjust the distortion, the amount of fisheye-ness. So closer is more and further is less. Also to all the people asking "will this fit on_______" this fits all the lenses that can have a filter. You can put an adapter and it will work.

  • Wat een kutlens

  • Are you filipino?

  • Comment removed

  • Would this fit my Fujifilm finepix s200 EXR?

the lens is 67mm and on amazon it does say that this comes with a 67mm adapter?

  • Will this fit my Canon 1000d?

  • play at 7:20 and he's taking a picture

    * are u taking a pic of my dick*

    play at 7:24

and he says very nice i must say very nice

  • will that black circle around the picture always be there?

  • @hottsauce808 Yeah, that's the effect of the fisheye. It'll go away when you zoom in, but you take away from the effect.

  • @AYOBONUS THE FISHEYE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE A RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont you know nothing about a fisheye? A fisheye should be an extreme wide angle effect, but the ones under 200 $ make the black circles cause they are cheap NOT because thats how it should be!

  • @hottsauce808 Its called Vig or vignetting its when you can see the edges of the fisheye and getting the right amount (barely visible in the corners) is tricky

  • @hottsauce808 Thats what i fish eye does.

  • @hottsauce808 its called vig

  • @hottsauce808 The black ring is there because he had to use a step down ring for the adapter. When you do this you get a black ring also known as vignetting. I personally do not like vig. But its personal taste.

  • I just got this lens for my Canon Rebel xs, and when I put it on it doesn't focus automatically or manually ): I don't know what to do.

  • @OMFGItsLizzi Really? That's weird. Try reapplying the lens. It should work on either setting. Works perfectly fine for me.

  • @AYOBONUS Do you have the 18-55mm? It might not work on some different lenses, due to the lens changing the focal length, and focusing distance.

  • @OMFGItsLizzi check the part where the lens and the camera body make contact, theres some kind of a plug that controls the AF

  • thanks dude, you totally helped my. i bought this and had no idea how to put it on thanks. gonna give you a thumbs up!

  • thanks dude....i was looking for some review of this fisheye..now I will buy it...:)

  • anyone know were i can get a fisheye under 600 bucks for nikon....

  • @ShawnJeanThomasWolfe

get a china one off ebay for about 40$, theyre not amazing but they do a good job :)

  • @danielmanocc this are from china...

  • omg, thankyou i want to get this~

    needed a decent review etc

  • I don't know, maybe I just don't know how to focus a camera, but I have the t2i, and this lens won't focus, I tried everything, and it just won't focus. alskjfklasjfas.

  • i dont get it why a question was liked...lol...an 18-55mm lens has a 58mm filter size

  • would this fit a 55mm lense?

  • would this fit with my Canon 60d, with a 18-135mm kit lens?

  • niiice, I like this lens. But you have to be creative with it, like with all other lens' !

  • hey, if it's a 52mm attatchment to the lens, why would it matter what brand your dslr is? because currently, the one for nikon is 50 and the one for canon is 35 and i have a nikon.

  • thanks so much for this review. exactly what i needed

  • hello, may i know what is the actual diameter of the lens without the the diameter converter? i'm afraid that if i buy ,then i will not suitable for the lens that i want to attach it to.. i want to attach it to my canon 50mm 1.8 II which has 52mm diameter thread.. thanks! nice review by the way.. :)

  • would this fit my panasonic lumix G10??

  • the vignetting on these are so fucking annoying though -__- pretty decent for the price.

  • 9:00

  • Would this fit with the Nikon D3100?

  • aaaah thanks so much, I was really confused as to whether it was a lens by itself or an adapter thing. Cheers!

  • Is that a flip camcorder to your right? Why not use that to make the video?

  • Thanks, I'll give this a try.

  • would it work on a nikon d3100?

  • Thanks :) I've been looking for a video of how it would be installed because I'm new to DSLRs

  • I have the same monitor as you :o

  • SO IS THERE AN FISH EYE THAT FITS ON THE 62 MM FLITER CUZ MY LENS IS

70-300MM IS THERE IS ONE IF YOU CAN FIN ONE SEND THE LINK

  • AWP-TEH-KUH

  • in your pictures. those side circular frame around it.......is it possible to get rid of those? cuz im planning to get one. and i don't want my picture/video to end up in tht small circle. is there a method tht you can enlarge the circle or smtg o.O?

  • @lolsalad100 i think if you zoom in abit, it'll be fine.

  • @lolsalad100 buy a different fisheye

  • Hey , If us still have this lens can u do me a favor and take a photo whit and whitout the lens so i can compere them.

  • "its hard to screw in, ha ha - thats what she said" priceless.

  • i wanted to see what up about this lens but you just talk way too fucking much

  • How much was it? I'm thinking of getting one

  • I actually was looking for a nice fisheye lens and this is the first one I found on Amazon. It's $50 now, but still cheap. I didn't want to get the Canon Fisheye lens precisely because it's too expensive. Thanks a lot, I'll DEFINITELY be buying it this week.

  • very nice video i must say iv seen kids do that the getto way where they just buy a peep hole at the hardware store and strap it onto the camra lol

  • so this dun have wide angle?

    or this follow 18-55 zoom?

  • To answer all your questions this isn't a lens it's a lens adapter to give you the illusion of a fisheye effect. This "lens" sucks don't buy it if your gonna buy a fisheye buy one that goes right on the camera not a gimmick like this. The vignetting on this is horrible and it has hardly any effect at all a real fisheye could see that hat and the whole room.

  • nicee... RUTGERS HOO RAH haha

  • hahaha thats what she said

  • I've ordered a lens like this, its not good looking, but should work. i bought mine for 39 $ very cheap!

  • scrape some cash together and get the 6.5mm opteka fisheye, if your serious the slightest bit about your photography

  • just oredered the exact same and pretty happy with it. however it kinda slices a little bit off the top of the fisheye circle, and a slightly bigger slice at the bottom, even when fully zoomed out. yours doesn't seem to do this. my camera's a nikon so it could just be the fit... but any ideas how i can get that full fish eye circle look goin on?

  • Those are some FRESH SHOTS of the guitar strings...very Creative...i just got my Fisheye today

  • What does the Macro do ?

  • @Fretburn999 Macro is for close up pics.

  • What is the smallest size fisheye you can get

  • great review but i am actually looking for some one to do a review of opteka lens 650-1300mm or 800mm

  • Can you let me know .. what fisheye lens fits a Digital Sony DSC-HX1?

  • Keep in mind with that much added weight on the front of that particular lens it will eventually burnout your auto-focusing motors ... I know this from personal experience. That lens is not designed to have that much weight on the front. But, it is a cheap lens that can be easily replaced when they do burnout.

It's better to use a lens that does not allow the front to turn when auto-focusing!
