I'd probably fall into the educated young black man category with above average looks. In school, very few girls were interested, regardless of race. There is a cancer in the black community, too many "men" who have no respect for the law, for their women, for education and take no responsibility for their progeny.

But I feel that way about statistics in general especially socialogical ones. but If 70% of blk mothers are single, may kids included in that % must have dads who play an active roll in their lives. i think it's a lot of "nice" guys out there that just feel left out by black women, who prefer the black men that have been labeled by police as "thugs" because that's just another term that's been imprinted on black people like "the n word". i think us black men and women should never limit ourselves to anything when it comes to either "love" or "lust". bottom line is, if you got it, then you do. if you don't, then you don't. either way, you gotta learn to love you first.

the problem is that SOME black women choose to ignore the good smart intellectual black men and date the charismatic badboys. they date those bad boys who ends up treating them bad and they complain saying "why are black men thugs and cheaters"? but to be honest the smart black men are usually seen as "weak" "no swagg",or "he acts like a white boy" by these ignorant naive black women. I respect the black women who choose to date the smart intellectual black men, those are smart black women.

This is hilarious. As a BM I find myself with a label of corny,uncle tom,oreo, steve urkel, and sometimes carlton banks(fresh price of belair). That label comes from(drum roll) Black people, especially black women. In college i've lost hot black women to thugs who didn't even graduate from high school. But from since i was eleven white women, latina,and european women have shown so much love. I fully agree with (cap000144) Being a smart brother is not what black women want.

@tObYStryker That's funny bc as a BW growing up, I found myself being labeled Oreo cookie and wanna be white girl. Those labels came from black people mostly black guys. In high school and college I wanted smart respectful BM to approach me but they went after the trashy easy ghetto girls more concerned with clothes than classes. The 3 that did ask me out were thugs who were/are NOT an option so I started dating white guys. Does that mean being a smart woman isn't what bm want either?
