We have an awesome God, He is the best thing that happened to me !! I thought I could be without Him I thought I was wiser than Him, and thought that I could make it on my own. @LipstickGala I've been taught in my years. That God's will for you is to be happy as long as you are doing it to honor him. If you are correctly following him then do what makes you happy, and he will steer you in the right directions of where he wants you. It is easier for him to work with someone who is moving than someone sitting still. I recommend you read John MacArthur's book God's Will... Great book and very inspirational.

Let us continue fighting the evils of SCIENCE and EVOLUTION in this new year! Our faith is declining. 3 out of 4 young people will leave the church once they go to college, where their minds are polluted with "rational thinking". They question their faith and eventually lose it. This is unacceptable. Now, more than ever, we must spread His Good Word and help bring people to The Truth. For we follow The Truth! God bless.

Christianity is about relationship with God but most people make it a religion just like most stuff cause they would rather try to keep a bunch of laws rather than open their hearts to God as a person and surrender everything to Him, let go of false control and let Him live through them, to them that is scarier than keeping a bunch of laws and failing miserably over and over again.

Religion leads either to Pride (I did it, thus God HAS to love and accept me) or Despair (There is no hope, I cannot possibly live up to God's standard). Christianity leads to Jesus and Joy and Eternal Life.

I totally agree. Christianity is about relationship with God but most people make it a religion just like most stuff cause they would rather try to keep a bunch of laws rather than open their hearts to God as a person and surrender everything to Him, let go of false control and let Him live through them, to them that is scarier than keeping a bunch of laws and failing miserably over and over again.

Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a relationship. Religion is man reaching out to God, saying "I obey, therefore God loves and accepts me." The Christian Gospel is God reaching out to man, and we say in response "God loves and accepts me, therefore I obey." Religion leads either to Pride (I did it, thus God HAS to love and accept me) or Despair (There is no hope, I cannot possibly live up to God's standard). Christianity leads to Jesus and Joy and Eternal Life.

I always tear up during this song.
After my dad cheated on my mom and my life started falling apart, I turned closer to God and this song always makes me cry because even with some of the terrible things I do, I still can't fathom just how He forgives me.
It also makes me a much more firm believer than I was before. The sacrifice Jesus made for us... I always ponder how something so bid works for something so small as us in this immense universe.
