The servos (DS510 & DS520) are stock for the ESP and the 500M motor is a stock Align motor, but I my 500 ESP came with a 500MX motor, which I thought all ESP's came with. Other than the 3G kit, this is about as stock as you can get.
And who is saying it's stock? The descriptions says "upgrade kit to make your current 500" flybarless.
It would make sense that Alan probably had a modified copter before the upgrade. Someone of his caliber isn't often expected to be flying stock parts although it would be interesting to see what he could do with a stock Align package - I bet it would be pretty darn close, most likely only difference would be the speed would be a little slower.

In Phoenix Sim, the 450pro has much much more power than the 500. How is that in reality ? Does the 500esp win against the 450pro?

@Groebi018 - I believe this is all stock equipment (stock 500 ESP with the 3G flybarless upgrade kit). A pilot as talented as Alan can do some pretty amazing stuff with stock equipment. No amount of upgrades can take the place of skillful collective management and smooth control inputs.

I got a T-Rex 500 ESP my self with the exact set-up (but normal, without flybarless), only doing some 3D in Phoenix simulator so far.. wondering if he could get that much agility and power from my stock heli. It's this years model though, so all carbon fiber with the 500M motor. I use Hyperion 2600mAh 35C lipos. Flight time about 6-7 minutes normal hover/flight, could get more but I'll try to stick to the 80% rule to get more cycles
@Ec130Rhine -I'm pretty much beginner my self, but I've heard experienced RC-pilots saying that for a beginner, it would be good to get a traditional version with flybar.
Reasons for that is that in RC-Helis it's half about trimming the helicopter, understanding the mechanics and knowing how to adjust them, and learning to hover and do tricks with normal, you'll learn better.
And, u can always upgrade to 3G if u want, it's not that expensive, considering the costs. :-)
Seems like the camera guy is having some problems keeping up. Can't imagine why, it's not like the heli is flying around like you just tried to swat a giant, pissed off, cracked out, schizophrenic hornet.
