  • 315mm cool off time is 45min.

  • Cool off period is determined by diameter of pipe being fused, as well as the pipe manufacturer's specifications.

  • cool off period ? 1/2 hour?

  • very good movie, im about to do my poly butt welding and electrofusion courses so i can get into this type of work, i have done heaps of steel gas lines but in australia poly pipe is being used alot more over steel pipe for flow lines etc in gas feilds.

  • If there is a posible crack would it be from the joint?

  • The fusion joint if done to proper procedures will be stronger than any other portion of the pipe. Watch our video "Benefits of Polyethylene" and you will see that the pipe will not fail on the joint.

  • nah mate very rarely, the joint is very hard to crack, we have a 10 yr gurantee on the weld, and trust me the pipe will go before the weld, ur a sh!t welder if ur weld goes first,
