Freedom of Speech at the Lowell Folk Festival

There a free speech area so you guys do not get under control but be in one spot sorry if you do not like it but this is not about you and get your words out it for a fun time with family and friend and listen to music and eat food of all culture. how you have to make a big deal about this as there have this every year with a a spot for free speech.

I couldn't watch all of this drivel. I was pointed her by the "park police" you were badgering. Folks who are watching, the only reason she claimed the area he was in was a "non-free speech area", as this politician claims, was because she was verbally berated by this man. The only reason that there is an area for people to stand and collect signatures is to allow others to enjoy the festival without being harassed- precisely as she said.

what are you talking about? lowell has had fireworks for at least the last 2 years. there was only a short period of time there was no fireworks.

This is a great example of the restrictions of civil rights placed on Americans via their local, state, and especially federal governments. The "free speech zone" is a pathetic excuse for repressing your ability to make yourself heard and I'm glad you did something to combat it. It you had continued handing out your literature in the "non free speech zone" and incurred some damages then a law suit would certainly be successful against the town.
