I actually don't have perfect pitch mixed up! I studied music theory under a doctorate of music who well explained to the class "relative pitch" versus "perfect pitch."

If Jordan Rudess truly had perfect pitch, he would not require the sheet music to record his own keyboard parts! Rudess would also not require cheat sheets to recall Kevin Moore's parts during the very first gig back in 1994! Jordan Rudess is a fraud!

Jordan Rudess began piano study at Juilliard at 9. Big fucking deal! He sucks! He was taught sight reading! Big fucking deal, he sucks!

Post Franz Liszt piano virtuosos never perform with cheat sheets! Rudess having true "perfect pitch" would not require sheet music to recall his parts. Should definitely not need cue cards after playing ten plus years with DT.

As for Mozart, he lives on through his music! Mozart survives! Will anyone care about Petrucci in 2210? I think not...

Actually most of it is in the Phrygian Dominant, with small bits of Phrygian and even a small bit of Double Harmonic Major thrown in. Petrucci has done this before with these scales because they both only differ by one note from the Phrygian Dominant and you can mix them in to create a different flavour for a phrase. An example of Phrygian in a predominantly Phrygian Dominant song is The Test That Stumped Them All and you can hear the Double Harmonic Major in the cover of Stargazer.
