That was "Winston" and "Oringo" in that video. Both were born at Wildlife Safari and part of a highly prestigious breeding program that works exclusively with AZA institutions and with the Species Survival Plan. What I would say to all would-be haters, do some research on the institution first! Wildlife Safari has produced more cheetah cubs than any other facility in the U.S. since 1960. They are fighting to keep cheetahs from going extinct!
I'm in Haiti and ,i would like to buy a baby cheetah, i'm at #95 rue gregoire petion-ville Haiti my name is claude armand Laleau 509 3 111-3342 or drop me a line on facebook,thank-you.
They are so adorable, I love their chirps. Lolamar76 your cousin is very lucky to be able to work with such endangered cats. Is it true that Cheetah's are very hard to breed in captivity? Can you tell me more about this Wildlife Safari that your cousin works at. One day I would like to make it out to Oregon and visit :)
@eluvb You're right, they are ^^ And for a long time, they were considered to be more of a dog than a cat in the past too =3 Primarily because Cheetah's are the only live cat today that can't fully retract their claws.
Beautiful Cats. I can tell these cheeatah are in good health just by how they look. Some people don't know anything about animals. I'm studying to be Vet Tech and my dream job it to work for or volunteer at a Wild Cat Shelter.
Awww!! They are so FREAKING ADORABLE!!! Till you think about the fact that if they would kill you without any guilt... Oh well... stuff like that happens... And they are still cute anyways!
Are people really this retarded? Read the uploader comments. This is IN ADDITION TO THEIR REGULAR DIET. Honestly, don't state your opinion if it's based on zero fact and stupid. Also learn what the hell chirping means before you assume it's negative sound. It's like a cat meowing for a toy. It doesn't mean they don't feed it, just that it's excited over to prospect of food.
I think this video is too cute. Please visit my page. I think you could help me with a question i have poted on it. Along with any other animal lovers who read this. Again thanks for the video.
they look well fed and healthy to me... and for all we know these cheetah may never be able to be release into the wild because they weren't born there or maybe their mother abandoned them for some reason so they didn't develop the skills they need to survive, or possibly their in some kind of program to get them released, no one but their caretakers know their story... anyway i love the sound cheetahs make :) so amazing their my favorite big cat :)
Also, what is with everyone seeing a video of an animal in any environment other than the woods and immediately screaming it's being cruelly mistreated? There ARE compassionate, intelligent people who preserve and research these species, people. I swear no one gives a damn when it's a video of someone letting their kid fall off of things and so on.
@mackayash this was IN ADDITION TO their regular diet. these animals are NOT starved, or teased, or mistreated. my cousin (who is the handler in this video) has devoted her life to caring for and breeding these animals. you and the rest of the commenters here who seem to think you are morally superior by passing judgment on something you know nothing about can get off your high horse.

@lolamar76 Nothing moral about me, I'm not passing judgement, I'm sinful and I sincerely enjoyed watching them starve....just like I enjoyed them sitting behind a cage. This is probably the best treatment a Cheetah can ask for!
@lolamar76 No but in all honesty now they're adorable I love cheetahs and I wish more people would fight to preserve them, I'm dead serious, I was just being an asshole.
@mackayash that's exactly what wildlife safari does. my cousin studied cheetah breeding extensively and now works to see that they are not an endangered species. i'd rather see them behind a cage and bred to ensure their survival, but that's just me. i'm proud of the work she and her fellow keepers do.
@lolamar76 Yeah, let's just go in a mess with natural selection, even though history shows that it provides for the strongest eco-system. We couldn't possibly let species die off! Who cares if it weakens the entire eco-system?
@TinyMachines Cheetahs aren't dieing off because of natural selection. They're dieing off from hundreds of years of being hunted for sport and for their coats by humans. Cheetahs used to be one of the most numerous African cats before The british decided they'd rather have cheetah spot rugs and fur coats.
If anything it is man's duty to preserve the cheetah and help it regain its numbers to safe levels.

@lolamar76 trapping wild animals in cages is just as killing them. They are not cheetah anymore, nor do they deserve to be called one anymore. Mother nature knows best so please don't try to raise them as if they are house cats.
@mackayash This is one clip, showing one thing, you don't know how these cheetahs are treated 24/7. They are most likely acting this way because it's a little "treat" for them.
@Pirateborn They used lots of sounds from modern animals in Jurassic Park. The T-Rex was like a lion, an elephant, and a couple of other animal sounds mixed together.
They weren't playing moron. Look I love animals more than humans and I have the ability to know what their feeling and they were NOT upset. I didn't think cheetahs could make such cute sounds. I often hear them uttering a loud thundering growl, but never the cute chirping noises.

cheetahs have huge lungs so they can catch their breath after running really fast but wow they have tiny vocal cords. no wonder they cant roar.
