@Tom101229 The problem with your numbers is that Fox viewership often surpasses the viewership of MSNBC, CNN and PBS combined.
By the way, I believe putting MSNBC in the same category as Comedy Central is wholly appropriate. However, Comedy Central doesn't even claim to be a news program. Therefore, I've omitted them from the comparison.
"There is something wrong with your numbers... wah wah wah like a crybaby, Fox is still better than Olbermann"
First of all, how does having more people watch your show dictate anything at all? It doesn't make your show better than someone else. And of course if you tally all the people who watch fox and each of its shows including Family Guy and the Simpsons along with NFL Football, it is going to be higher than Olbermann's show.
"Having more people watch one show over another is indicative of nothing but popularity. "
And with our lack of education and intelligence in this country stimulated mostly amongst Fox News viewers. It should be more alarming than credible or exciting to have more Fox Viewers as one could be an indication or correlation with the other.
So what you had said was absolutely moronic. Are you mentally challenged or something? May I inquire to know the degree of your education and what school you got your education from? Do you even know? I'll be fair enough as someone who is principles and honesty (unlike you who has no integrity nor fortitude) to announce that I received my education from Chicago State University and I have PhD in History, Political Science, and International Relations. What about you, friend? Got any education?
@Tom101229 You can inquire all you like. To utilize academic credentials in this case would prove nothing aside from one's own desperation. To do so would be an invalid attempt at garnering legitimacy.
I was formally schooled at a private college and that is as much detail as I'm going to give you.
Oh by the way, Al Capone made Chicago his base of operations because he knew that its judiciary and law enforcement were for sale.
I take it you are not going to answer my question, because obviously the contents of your answer would not satisfy your ego and attitude to belittle me. After all, you cannot belittle me properly if you reveal your lack of education.
"To utilize academic credentials in this case would prove nothing aside from one's own desperation. "
Your own desperation to avoid the question, obviously. LOL! Dude, stop being so embarrassed and just show me what you've got.
@Tom101229 I've no need to belittle you. The fact that you are attempting to inflate your ego through the flaunting of your higher education is a sign of desperation.
What good would it do you, if I had not been the recipient of any higher learning?
I take it you are not going to answer my question, because obviously the contents of your answer would not satisfy your ego and attitude to belittle me. After all, you cannot belittle me properly if you reveal your lack of education.
"To utilize academic credentials in this case would prove nothing aside from one's own desperation. "
Your own desperation to avoid the question, obviously. LOL! Dude, stop being so embarrassed and just show me what you've got.
"To do so would be an invalid attempt at garnering legitimacy."
And you hold any legitimacy? Do you even know what that word means, what that word is and how it could possibly apply to anything in this conversation? You don't have any legitimacy, ianky. Your legitimacy to saying anything in regards to politics is the same as my four year old son, which is actually saying a lot just to be quite frank. Ultimately, you truly don't have much more of a say other than what the constitution allows. :p
@Tom101229 In this context I intend the term legitimacy to be synonymous with credibility.
Are you aware that you have done absolutely nothing aside from spew hatred and insults in ever comment you've made to me?
I had initially thought that you were a child between the ages of 18 and 25. However, considering the fact that you are the father of a small child, I am now concerned with your unbridled hostility. The lack of self control and the scope of immaturity you exhibit is concerning.
But to say you have any legitimacy just because you are allowed to voice your opinions under the first amendment of the constitution is very poor argument to construct. After all, legitimacy is not the same thing as legality.
And if you are to argue that the American people have your back like you are part of some American People's Movement and I am an outsider, then you are pretty much doing the same thing that Communist China does on a daily basis. But I bet you truly aren't a communist, huh?
A private christian school is not a credible college to attend. Their education plainly speaking is generally censored to some respects. They choose what to teach and what not to teach and there is not just a general bias, but also a general fabrication of material as well.
"that is as much detail as I'm going to give you."
And that is enough to tell me you weren't educated at all. Private College is the same as having no education.
"Oh by the way, Al Capone made Chicago his base of operations because he knew that its judiciary and law enforcement were for sale. "
Who the fuck cares what idiocy you concoct your information from. It like everything else you have said is clearly not true. But like the uneducated buffoon you are, you clearly believe anything that might help raise your sour ego and disposition. Congrats on that, nimrod. Enjoy your mental degeneration before reality hits you like a sack of bricks.
"Oh by the way, Al Capone made Chicago his base of operations because he knew that its judiciary and law enforcement were for sale. "

"Fox viewership often surpasses the viewership of MSNBC, CNN and PBS combined."
No it doesn't.
"I believe putting MSNBC in the same category as Comedy Central is wholly appropriate. "
And I believe putting Fox in the same category as Cartoon Network to be entirely appropriate, since both channels consist largely of the same viewers. Entirely the same.
I mean after watching FOX, normally you guys change the channel to CN and watch King of the Hill and then Squidbillies. Am I wrong?
@Tom101229 Yes, Fox viewership often surpasses the viewership of MSNBC, CNN and PBS combined.
I occasionally view cartoons, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it one of my normal activities. Having a family has a tendency to cut into my cartoon time unless I'm watching cartoons with my son.
Could you present something that isn't made by a bunch of hack-jobs.
I actually have spoken to the officials of Nielsen, which if you visit mediabisto(dot)com, you would see is a source of some of their information that is contributed and I asked them how do they know what people are viewing.
You want to know what they told me? They don't. They assume and they guess. There is no official means by which they identify what someone is watching, because that is an invasion of privacy.
"However, Comedy Central doesn't even claim to be a news program."
Yet most of its audience generally consists of the viewers who watch MSNBC.
And even though Comedy Central doesn't claim to be a news organization, it is simply a clone of Fox nonetheless, just with an anti-fascist spin to it, while Fox generally is a fascist pseudo-right, pseudo-conservative, Ultra-Populist network own by a foreigner called Rupert Murdock.
It is not even an American news agency, it is Australian.
@Tom101229 For one that has been formally educated in politics and history, you have an awfully skewed view of Fascism and Populism. Fascism is a corporatist system which involves nationalized industry. Populism is a system driven by the divisiveness of class warfare. A good example of both is the neo-Bolshevik Obama administration.
"For one that has been formally educated in politics and history, you have an awfully skewed view of Fascism and Populism."
No I actually use the words in their true original context. The meaning you use to describe them comes from misuse and over-use. Take for instance, the word gay evolves from meaning happiness to meaning homosexuality. The same is true for the words Populist and Fascist.
Fascism isn't a corporatist system. It involves a corporatist system, but that isn't what it is about.
Fascism under political context refers to the removal of opportunity to increase security. Security and opportunity are opposites. Liberalism, actual liberalism, not the liberalism portrayed in our deceptive media (Fox and MSNBC) stems from the word liberalis (latin for "of freedom) and as such its measurement is implied by how much opportunity that is given to an individual. The more opportunity, the more liberal. But more opportunity means less security, for instance selling and owning guns.
Owning and selling guns is a liberal stance. Not media orchestrated leftist ideology, lets ignore what the media likes to say and concentrate on the facts, ignoring the media and its deceptions. Owning is gun is an advancement of opportunity. You now have the opportunity to own a gun, an increase in opportunity that wouldn't have if you had ban guns. Am I right so far? So as it an increase opportunity, it is an increase in the measurement of freedom, which is what liberal comes from.
Also if you must know, I don't accept the status quo, mainstream, or self-indoctrinated ideology. Some people call me a crack pot because of it, but I believe my general approach and re-organization of knowledge is directed much more towards logic and disallows much of conflict and confrontational stupidity that generally occurs between your people and your opponents.
The reason why I, a neutral member would drag myself out against either you or your enemies, is to end the dispute, make peace.
"Populism is a system driven by the divisiveness of class warfare"
LOL! No it is not. Populism is a behavioral system of politics driven towards the argument to ignorance, unlike conservatism which is a behavioral system of politics driven towards the argument to reason, which makes the two opposites.
Pacifism and militarism are the systems of political thinking directed towards the divisiveness of war. And Marxism is the social ideology driven by Class warfare, not populism. GOD!
"A good example of both is the neo-Bolshevik Obama administration. "
LOL! Obama is not running a neo-Bolshevik administration. You loony. Obama is a conservative as in his appeal to politics centers on the behavior of politics driven towards the argument towards reason.
You just don't like him, because you don't like conservatives, people who appear to behave indecisive or may act supportive of both sides to prevent conflict. You know in media terms that would make Obama a moderate.
And I know your view of what conservatism is, is not the actual true meaning of that at all. I mean what does it mean to conserve. You would think of preventing change, preventing laws from being passed, staying in the status quo. Minimal government. Minarchism in other words. That is not conservatism, that is just a progression towards anarchy. it is just Anarchists that have taken over the meaning of Conservatism, so they can project their own views without you screaming "ANARCHISTS!"
I know you don't know what conservatism is. Social Conservatism is more like a compound word like Star Fish or Dwarf Planet, it doesn't actually specify a true form of Conservatism. Rather it is a substitute for what was originally called Political Traditionalism.
Conservatism stems from the word "Conserve," which comes from the Old French word Conservar, which comes from the Latin word conservare, which etymologically meant to keep and keep watch, pretty much means to observe ot spectate.
In that sense, Conservatism in the political sense is about observing politics, being a political spectator, to hold a hands off approach in how politics should operate. That doesn't mean you don't engage, rather it means you refrain from engaging directly or rather abruptly. You don't try to become the center attention, you try to draw back, conserve energy, let the problem fix it self out if it must. It is about refraining or containing political energy while observing politics.
But note it is not about policies, yet rather the behavior of politics. It is about avoiding to engage rather than seeking to engage. This is what makes it the opposite of populism, which is essentially about seeking to engage.
Conservatives to be very intelligent intellectuals. People who like to read into a matter and learn about it before they ever engage. They know they have to engage, but they try to avoid it as much as possible, not for benefit, but for matters of observation.
Populism is directly about engaging. Populism stems from the word "popular." You cut out the ar at the end and replace it with a "ism" and you have essentially populism. Populism is about what is popular. What is directly being engaged in the minds of the populace, of the people. So populism is about engaging with the people. It is critical for sustaining or facilitating a democracy, not a republic. Republics work best under conservatism, because you have esteemed intellectuals with such talents
It doesn't have to be true anarchy that anarchism has to seek to accomplish. Anarchy in it self is the lack of systematic organization or control in any activity. It can refer to a specific activity as much as it can refer to all activities. So putting Social Security in the private sector in which case there is no systematic organization nor control of it, is a fundamental theme of anarchism. It is not total anarchism, but it is anarchism of social security.
I am just pointing out that you have been deceived and you shouldn't be listening nor following the idiots either those described to be on the left or on the right. However, if you follow me, I am quite certain that we together could formulate a true working environment that best fits everyone's needs. Unfortunately, your current political, ideological, and societal views will dis-permit you from forming true national unity with people you presume to be your inferior or less knowledgeable, iow.
You keep speaking so highly about Fox, when it isn't even owned within the United States. It is owned by News Corp, an Australian virus, it is headquartered in Surry Hills, Australia. They say to have a headquarters in New York, no that is just where their actors like Glenn like Bill O' work from. It is similar to how Disney Corporation has offices in Florida and California, but its actual headquarters is in Burbank, California, not Orlando. Same thing for Fox, its headquarters is in Australia.
Oh so you are a pro-American type of person, huh? You don't really care if another country is taking its views and hijacking them into the United States? I mean you would argue that liberalism is a European Socialist virus, but you wouldn't be so clear to go against the Australian one your side has been infected by.
How about we just stop all the bickering and be United as a country and nation, for once?
What one hour fox hour and what does that really mean that you have more people watching Fox in that one hour than watching MSNBC? What the hell is that suppose to even mean? There are more stumbling morons out there like you (who insult people outright, have no integrity nor respect for America in anyway at all), you probably litter at the Washington Monument when you were there protesting, and yet you have the gall, the nerve, to speak about other people?
@Tom101229 Fox having superior viewership is indicative of nothing aside from its superior popularity.
I wasn't able to make it to the DC 9/12 rally. However, I don't recall littering for over 10 years. the only littering I recall consisted of an occasional cigarette filter bing flung out of my vehicle as I drove it down the road. That is actually one of the reasons that I kicked the habit.
Is the fact that you are obese and cannot physically leave your house nor get by your door a reason behind that matter? "I don't recall littering for over 10 years."
Yeah, people as fat as you probably aren't capable of littering. I mean how can you litter, if you too busy wolfing down everything. By golly, I wonder how your child manage to avoid being cannibalized for so long.
@Tom101229 Is the fact that you are a juvenile miscreant and the fact that you couldn't logically argue your way out of a wet paper bag the compulsory source of your continued leveling of inaccurate criticisms?
Yeah calling me essentially a Christian Kafir is really going to stand up quite well in argument. By the way, Kafir as it is used in the Islamic world is essentially the same thing as miscreant, "Someone who holds an incorrect religious view." If you are saying I lack morals or dignity in the same religious tone, then I would still draw that line of similarity between yourself and not just Muslims, but also Muslim Extremists, Al-Qaeda in other words. Please stop referring to others as kafirs.
"the fact that you couldn't logically argue your way out of a wet paper bag the compulsory source of your continued leveling of inaccurate criticisms"
I am sorry was that suppose to be a statement or a run-on or was it just simply pure gibberish, since it just went on and on with no clear point of difference between where it should cut off after bag and begin with "the." Is there suppose to be a comma there or something?
Anyways, I can argue. I just don't take you seriously enough.
@Tom101229 I've attempted to be civil but frankly you are a bore and I tire of taking the high road. You are nothing more than a parasitic, contrary and juvenile piece of human garbage. However, this is the case with most Leftist Progressives.
"the only littering I recall consisted of an occasional cigarette filter bing flung out of my vehicle as I drove it down the road. That is actually one of the reasons that I kicked the habit."
So nowadays you swallow them instead of throwing them out of your window. Nice. LOL!
Who cares about ratings?! Does that prove anything? No? Okay, didn't think so. Generally, people will watch if something entertains them. I don't even watch olbermann, but he is much better than his alternatives on Fox.
Did you know that the Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report get more ratings nightly than Hannity/Bill O combined? Does that make them more important? In your logic, yes, yes it does!
You're as silly as a fagot in tights. If you were about business, I'd think the broadcasters would care. Perhaps your just a little peeved that you posse isn't doing as well as the Fox.
You are aware that by the poles, the republicans are FAR less popular than democrats, and that's hard to do. Why? Both parties are retardedly conservative. Guess what dumb fuck, America is drifting further left!
Obama's poll numbers are dropping because PROGRESSIVES are pulling away, same with the democrats. Republicans haven't gained an INCH in the face of democratic losses, so obviously, you conservatives are FUCKED.
You don't pay attention to the news do you? You are an obviously anger person; you may want to move out of your mom's basement and get a job - Wait, it might be hard to get a job 'cause of the President -Barrack Hussein Obama- you elected. Now I have someone to blame and you wanna feel what "fucked" feels like just bend on over.
Notice how what you just said HammeringOracle, doesn't address ANYTHING I said. You just lost the argument due to your only response being personal insults. You really think you brought anything credible to this conversation? Nope.
Sorry, I can crush you in a single post, a fine measure of how you don't pay attention to anything as you completely miss polling data. Next time you post, try countering my points, or admit you lost. Dumb ass.
@BusinessIDBAI If you think either of the last two administrations have been Conservative, please tell me how.
TARP, Multiple stimuli, nationalizing the auto industry, nationalizing the banking industry, refusing to enforce federal immigration statutes, increased entitlement spending, etc...
okay hypocrite, like the left doesn't do the same except worse? Like the left has any facts of their own? fuck no. The liberal Marxists that have hijacked this country rely on demagoguery to the extreme.
You're insane, please show me the same amount of editing on the left, as goes through the process on the right, go tally up all the videos on right bias in the media, vs left bias in the media here on youtube alone.
I'm pretty sure you'll be AMAZED at how backwards you are. Just because CNN doesn't tout the conservative line, doesn't make it biased, sometimes, that's called unbiased reporting.. Nut case.
First off, I didn't go about endorsing the neo-conservative media. Second, no freakin duh the media is biased based on allegiance within the political spectrum. Third, CNN is biased towards the left. You said "it doesn't tout the conservative line", well if there's no bipartisan coverage, then how the heck is it unbiased reporting?
The mainstream media is not a reliable source of unbiased news. It's full of fabrications and dirty journalism on both sides.
How is there no bipartisan coverage? I could see your point if they don't argue the republican talking points like Fox does, and I can agree, that on the occasion they do argue the democratic points like with Sarah Palin, where the commentator stated his surprise with her apparent lack of knowledge on pretty much anything. But outside of not towing a line, I fail to follow.
MSNBC, yes, biased, Fox, yes, biased. CNN, a much harder sale to say it's biased. And where do you get your news then?
And could you please inform me of what you think Marxism is? Because the simple fact you're saying Marxist have hijacked this country is a pretty clear indication that you quite simply don't know.
And for that matter do you even know what the hell a liberal is? Honestly, I'm so sick and tired of hearing this words thrown around, Marxist and Liberal wouldn't go together in the same sentence! I'll wait to hear your views on the issue before I tell you why...
What the liberal meaning and what they stand for are two different things. Sounds like they need to get on the bandwagon. I like how people always attack whether someone knows what the definition of a word is. Like they have no valid argument. Do YOU know what Marxist is? Do you even know what the Liberals represent [not what it means, but what theyrepresent]?
Do you not even fucking understand that America's foundations were the most Liberal of structures imaginable? You know where free market capitalism comes from jack ass? LIBERALISM.
Yes I know what Marxism is, so what is it smart ass? Let's hear your enlightened bullshit. Spout off!
really now dean where the fuck were you for the 8 years when bush was prez , if i am not mistaken the left called bush everything in the book and i don't remember dean saying anything
I think the dividing line between liberals and conservative is abortion. The other is Government spending but I've yet to see a republican president reduce the government's payroll.
Raving Olbermann makes Howard Dean look quite reasonable and sane.
It's very hard to imagine that Olbermann is out of the same news network (NBC) that once gave us such greats as Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Frank McGee, Roger Mudd, Tom Snyder and John Chancellor.
Keith is so lame he has to steal Edward R. Murrow's signature sign-off of "Good night and good luck."
With management decisions like paying this crazy millions a year to be on their air, no wonder GE stock is in the dumper.
this looks just like what everyone else does and put of different parts were he said something without actual context to it. I have no idea what came before or after these words, to prove the point u need to put a longer verson so there is no doubt as to what he means.

Fox has more viewers because Ultra-Fascist Fake-Conservative Populists only watch Fox and they make up about 30% of the population.
Meanwhile MSNBC has to compete with CNN, PBS, and even Comedy Central.
Take 70% divide that into four and you end up with 17.5% of the population. 17.5<30
Do the math.

I'll be fair enough as someone who is principles and honesty (unlike you who has no integrity nor fortitude) to announce that I received my education from Chicago State University and I have PhD in History, Political Science, and International Relations. What about you, friend? Got any education?
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 You can inquire all you like. To utilize academic credentials in this case would prove nothing aside from one's own desperation. To do so would be an invalid attempt at garnering legitimacy.
I was formally schooled at a private college and that is as much detail as I'm going to give you.
Oh by the way, Al Capone made Chicago his base of operations because he knew that its judiciary and law enforcement were for sale.

Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 In this context I intend the term legitimacy to be synonymous with credibility.
Are you aware that you have done absolutely nothing aside from spew hatred and insults in ever comment you've made to me?
I had initially thought that you were a child between the ages of 18 and 25. However, considering the fact that you are the father of a small child, I am now concerned with your unbridled hostility. The lack of self control and the scope of immaturity you exhibit is concerning.
iankable 1 year ago
But to say you have any legitimacy just because you are allowed to voice your opinions under the first amendment of the constitution is very poor argument to construct. After all, legitimacy is not the same thing as legality.
And if you are to argue that the American people have your back like you are part of some American People's Movement and I am an outsider, then you are pretty much doing the same thing that Communist China does on a daily basis. But I bet you truly aren't a communist, huh?

"I was formally schooled at a private college"
A private christian school is not a credible college to attend. Their education plainly speaking is generally censored to some respects. They choose what to teach and what not to teach and there is not just a general bias, but also a general fabrication of material as well.
"that is as much detail as I'm going to give you."
And that is enough to tell me you weren't educated at all. Private College is the same as having no education.

You want to know what they told me? They don't. They assume and they guess. There is no official means by which they identify what someone is watching, because that is an invasion of privacy.
Tom101229 1 year ago

A good example of both is the neo-Bolshevik Obama administration.
iankable 1 year ago
"For one that has been formally educated in politics and history, you have an awfully skewed view of Fascism and Populism."
No I actually use the words in their true original context. The meaning you use to describe them comes from misuse and over-use. Take for instance, the word gay evolves from meaning happiness to meaning homosexuality. The same is true for the words Populist and Fascist.
Fascism isn't a corporatist system. It involves a corporatist system, but that isn't what it is about.
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 All Fascist systems have a Corporatist element..
iankable 1 year ago
Fascism under political context refers to the removal of opportunity to increase security. Security and opportunity are opposites. Liberalism, actual liberalism, not the liberalism portrayed in our deceptive media (Fox and MSNBC) stems from the word liberalis (latin for "of freedom) and as such its measurement is implied by how much opportunity that is given to an individual. The more opportunity, the more liberal. But more opportunity means less security, for instance selling and owning guns.
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 The removal of opportunity to increase security is a shrouded means to an end.
The means being diminished opportunity and the end being control.
iankable 1 year ago
Owning and selling guns is a liberal stance. Not media orchestrated leftist ideology, lets ignore what the media likes to say and concentrate on the facts, ignoring the media and its deceptions. Owning is gun is an advancement of opportunity. You now have the opportunity to own a gun, an increase in opportunity that wouldn't have if you had ban guns. Am I right so far? So as it an increase opportunity, it is an increase in the measurement of freedom, which is what liberal comes from.
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 Classical Liberalism and Contemporary Liberalism could not be any more different. They are quite nearly black and white.
iankable 1 year ago
Also if you must know, I don't accept the status quo, mainstream, or self-indoctrinated ideology. Some people call me a crack pot because of it, but I believe my general approach and re-organization of knowledge is directed much more towards logic and disallows much of conflict and confrontational stupidity that generally occurs between your people and your opponents.
The reason why I, a neutral member would drag myself out against either you or your enemies, is to end the dispute, make peace.
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 I don't detect a desire for peace in your tone.

GOD!
Tom101229 1 year ago
"A good example of both is the neo-Bolshevik Obama administration. "
LOL! Obama is not running a neo-Bolshevik administration. You loony. Obama is a conservative as in his appeal to politics centers on the behavior of politics driven towards the argument towards reason.
You just don't like him, because you don't like conservatives, people who appear to behave indecisive or may act supportive of both sides to prevent conflict. You know in media terms that would make Obama a moderate.
Tom101229 1 year ago
And I know your view of what conservatism is, is not the actual true meaning of that at all. I mean what does it mean to conserve. You would think of preventing change, preventing laws from being passed, staying in the status quo. Minimal government. Minarchism in other words. That is not conservatism, that is just a progression towards anarchy. it is just Anarchists that have taken over the meaning of Conservatism, so they can project their own views without you screaming "ANARCHISTS!"
Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 You don't know anything about my view of conservatism aside from what I've told you about it, which isn't much
iankable 1 year ago
I know you don't know what conservatism is. Social Conservatism is more like a compound word like Star Fish or Dwarf Planet, it doesn't actually specify a true form of Conservatism. Rather it is a substitute for what was originally called Political Traditionalism.
Conservatism stems from the word "Conserve," which comes from the Old French word Conservar, which comes from the Latin word conservare, which etymologically meant to keep and keep watch, pretty much means to observe ot spectate.
Tom101229 1 year ago
In that sense, Conservatism in the political sense is about observing politics, being a political spectator, to hold a hands off approach in how politics should operate. That doesn't mean you don't engage, rather it means you refrain from engaging directly or rather abruptly. You don't try to become the center attention, you try to draw back, conserve energy, let the problem fix it self out if it must. It is about refraining or containing political energy while observing politics.
Tom101229 1 year ago
But note it is not about policies, yet rather the behavior of politics. It is about avoiding to engage rather than seeking to engage. This is what makes it the opposite of populism, which is essentially about seeking to engage.
Conservatives to be very intelligent intellectuals. People who like to read into a matter and learn about it before they ever engage. They know they have to engage, but they try to avoid it as much as possible, not for benefit, but for matters of observation.
Tom101229 1 year ago
Populism is directly about engaging. Populism stems from the word "popular." You cut out the ar at the end and replace it with a "ism" and you have essentially populism. Populism is about what is popular. What is directly being engaged in the minds of the populace, of the people. So populism is about engaging with the people. It is critical for sustaining or facilitating a democracy, not a republic. Republics work best under conservatism, because you have esteemed intellectuals with such talents
Tom101229 1 year ago
It doesn't have to be true anarchy that anarchism has to seek to accomplish. Anarchy in it self is the lack of systematic organization or control in any activity. It can refer to a specific activity as much as it can refer to all activities. So putting Social Security in the private sector in which case there is no systematic organization nor control of it, is a fundamental theme of anarchism. It is not total anarchism, but it is anarchism of social security.

Tom101229 1 year ago
@Tom101229 Fox having superior viewership is indicative of nothing aside from its superior popularity.
I wasn't able to make it to the DC 9/12 rally. However, I don't recall littering for over 10 years. the only littering I recall consisted of an occasional cigarette filter bing flung out of my vehicle as I drove it down the road. That is actually one of the reasons that I kicked the habit.

"I wasn't able to make it to the DC 9/12 rally. "

Yeah, people as fat as you probably aren't capable of littering. I mean how can you litter, if you too busy wolfing down everything. By golly, I wonder how your child manage to avoid being cannibalized for so long.

@Tom101229 Is the fact that you are a juvenile miscreant and the fact that you couldn't logically argue your way out of a wet paper bag the compulsory source of your continued leveling of inaccurate criticisms?
iankable 1 year ago
Yeah calling me essentially a Christian Kafir is really going to stand up quite well in argument. By the way, Kafir as it is used in the Islamic world is essentially the same thing as miscreant, "Someone who holds an incorrect religious view." If you are saying I lack morals or dignity in the same religious tone, then I would still draw that line of similarity between yourself and not just Muslims, but also Muslim Extremists, Al-Qaeda in other words. Please stop referring to others as kafirs.
Tom101229 1 year ago

First off, I didn't go about endorsing the neo-conservative media. Second, no freakin duh the media is biased based on allegiance within the political spectrum. Third, CNN is biased towards the left. The mainstream media is not a reliable source of unbiased news. It's full of fabrications and dirty journalism on both sides.
krayZhands 2 years ago
How is there no bipartisan coverage? I could see your point if they don't argue the republican talking points like Fox does, and I can agree, that on the occasion they do argue the democratic points like with Sarah Palin, where the commentator stated his surprise with her apparent lack of knowledge on pretty much anything.
