because in 1999, PAF were not able match our mig29's. PAF didn't BVR capabilities but we had. so naturally we had the upper hand. plus pakistan was not for a full scale war.

I am not impressed. The video clearly shows that Indian military was not fighting in unison. IAF came too late or was called too late.

@utubekhiladi no dudes refale and typhoon are both totally different type of airplanes they look similar but they both have different criterias and different hardpoints. there wing spans are different then each other. Also typhoon is mostly used for ground attack missions and Rafale is more of the air combat aircraft.

The Euro fighter typhoon is not better in its air to ground role than it is in its air to air. The Rafale can take off from carriers and do missions over sea, unlike the Euro fighter Typhoon.
By the way superashazad the Typhoon and Rafale have never been deployed to a theater of combat. They have only done war games and combat simulations to get their data.

dude... when he said fuel reserve, I am sure he did not know the proper technical term to express himself... he probably meant "UNTAPPED OIL RESERVES" which is oil underground which is not dug and pumped yet. US has like 10 years worth of oil supply while India has maybe 6 or 7 while Pakistan actually has a lot of oil, but since the size is smaller to India, the total amount is less.

About you naval aircraft, I cannot argue. I personally do not know if the plane had weapons or not. Even in news, they said "Pakistan claims it was unarmed" and not a confirmation that it was unarmed. Even if it was unarmed, it was not supposed to come into that no-fly zone.
As far as China goes, we did not have a proper air force regiment there. After a few air incursions, India now has sent 24 Su-30MKIs to be stationed permanently there to protect the border no-fly zones.

Now because of Taliban problems in Pakistan, Maoists in Nepal crossing into India, Chinese incursions in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh and LeT making more and more threats, India is being forced into spending more on defense. This year they increased military budget to 3.5%. That is still very very low compared to China, Burma, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Pak has a policy of reserving 10 days of fuel at any time. This applies to today and Kargil too..But for militarily purpose, Pak has a policy of 45 days of fuel reserve.

Antlantique is Primarily used for patrolloing and reconnaissance and it is not a Fighter Jet. OK. Therefore it cannot compete with fighter jet. Coward Indians shot down it cos they want to take revenge of their loss of 2 fighter jets during Kargil.

There were 2000 Pak soldiers took part in Kargil without the help of PAF. On the other side there were more than 50,000 Indian armymen took part in Kargil with massive use of IAF.
At the end, Pak brought back all its soldiers and mujahdeen from Kargil under the influence of US.

When the generals requested air support the PAF were very angry that they were kept in the dark. PAF were not in a position to provide support. They only had 3/4 F16's that were airworthy at they had no spare parts due to USA sanctions I don't think IAF had BVR missiles in 1999. However PAKS made fools of themselves in front of all the world

This whole thing seems rotten, and I think from the very up. Maybe a possible pretext for a future military coup. And even if none of the planes had BVR, and not provide air cover, Pak military not taking IAF into consideration seemed awefully strange.

The main problem was that the PAK army plannned this in secret and did not tell PAF.It's only when PAK army was getting hammered that they begged the PAF to provide air support. The nearest PAF base [I forget the name but began with a S] only had 3/4 F16's that were airworthy due to embargo by USA they had no spare parts.They were not in a position to provide air cover.

They may have supported the so called 'militants' but the pakistani government made an international statement that it had nothing to do with it so pakistan navy and airforce were not involved and did not carry out any surgical operations. Pakistani forces had the capability to stand its ground against the Indian forces.

I am not impressed. The video clearly shows that Indian military was not fighting in unison. IAF came too late or was called too late.
It was more of Indian army going gung ho. The people who were sitting on top - Pakistani rangers were no less trained or incompetent. In-fact we should have used air force first and then army.
I think Pak played it very intelligently but they were too optimistic. IAF did a good job so did Indian army, but I am not impressed by our military generals at all.

@utubekhiladi no dudes refale and typhoon are both totally different type of airplanes they look similar but they both have different criterias and different hardpoints. there wing spans are different then each other. Also typhoon is mostly used for ground attack missions and Rafale is more of the air combat aircraft.

The Euro fighter typhoon is not better in its air to ground role than it is in its air to air. The Rafale can take off from carriers and do missions over sea, unlike the Euro fighter Typhoon.
By the way superashazad the Typhoon and Rafale have never been deployed to a theater of combat. They have only done war games and combat simulations to get their data.

dude... when he said fuel reserve, I am sure he did not know the proper technical term to express himself... he probably meant "UNTAPPED OIL RESERVES" which is oil underground which is not dug and pumped yet. US has like 10 years worth of oil supply while India has maybe 6 or 7 while Pakistan actually has a lot of oil, but since the size is smaller to India, the total amount is less.
This whole argument about oil is useless, forget it.

If you want to know about Musharraf, read some books written by western scholars. Also, read his own autobiography. He wrote it in exile in UK after he fled the country.
It has some details that Pakistani mujahideen infiltrated Kashmir and that he tried dismantling terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir after his promise to India after Kargil, but many ISI and army leaders did not support him and it came to a stage where ISI helped in his downfall from power.

About you naval aircraft, I cannot argue. I personally do not know if the plane had weapons or not. Even in news, they said "Pakistan claims it was unarmed" and not a confirmation that it was unarmed. Even if it was unarmed, it was not supposed to come into that no-fly zone.
As far as China goes, we did not have a proper air force regiment there. After a few air incursions, India now has sent 24 Su-30MKIs to be stationed permanently there to protect the border no-fly zones.

India spends only 2.5% to 3% of its annual budget on military dude. Pakistan spends 14% to 21% (varies each year within this range). Now because of Taliban problems in Pakistan, Maoists in Nepal crossing into India, Chinese incursions in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh and LeT making more and more threats, India is being forced into spending more on defense. This year they increased military budget to 3.5%. That is still very very low compared to China, Burma, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

One more thing I found about Antlantique incident was that Antlantique was unarmed that day and It was patrolling inside Pakistan border and Kargil was finished a month ago.

Look..There r just 2000 Pak soldiers came across LOC in Indian side of a Kashmir. So did 2000 Pak soldiers used all of the Pak fuel in Kargil.Does it make any sense and as far as blocking of Karahi is concenrned.That never happened during Kargil and U accepted too in ur previous posts.
Pak has a policy of reserving 10 days of fuel at any time. This applies to today and Kargil too..But for militarily purpose, Pak has a policy of 45 days of fuel reserve.

Antlantique is Primarily used for patrolloing and reconnaissance and it is not a Fighter Jet. OK. Therefore it cannot compete with fighter jet. Coward Indians shot down it cos they want to take revenge of their loss of 2 fighter jets during Kargil.

There were 2000 Pak soldiers took part in Kargil without the help of PAF. On the other side there were more than 50,000 Indian armymen took part in Kargil with massive use of IAF.
At the end, Pak brought back all its soldiers and mujahdeen from Kargil under the influence of US.
This is a reality but I know few people here will agree with this cos it doesnt suit their patrotism...So keep enjoying watching this video..

No Sir..You r absolutely worng..PAF was never scared during Kargil...If Pak had used PAF then Kargil conflict could have escalated and this is the only reason Pak didnt use PAF but shot down two indian plane when they came into Pak Kashmir.
Karachi was never blocked during Kargil by Indian Navy..If Karachi blocking had happened then no one could stop Pak from lauching a full scale war with India..BTW I was in Karachi at dat time and I know better than you.

In the book, he wrote about Kargil war that answers a lot of your questions and clarifies that some of your claims are wrong. Please, read before you argue. Also, the final point is that Pakistan started the war so that it can take Azad Kashmir from us and it failed. Pakistan did not win even a single square inch of Indian territory at the end of the war. So, it is a loss for Pakistan, don't you think?
